Jongga is a kimchi & fresh food brand of Daesang, which has led modern culinary culture in Korea along with the fresh food brand Chungjungwon, the processed meat brand Chamjak, etc. The Jongga Hoengseong Factory offers tour of the factory, allowing visitors to see the kimchi making process and the exhibition hall. 4th Seoul Kimchi Festival

In the past, kimjang(kimchi-making) day was a day for sharing love, a day for festivals and feasting. Designated as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, kimjang has gone global and kimchi has become a classic, healthy food much loved by people around the world. With the first Seoul Kimchi Festival in 2014, the much forgotten Korean sharing spirit comes alive and kimjang was created into a cultural festival that has developed into a leading global sharing festival in Seoul. Celebrating the theme ‘Happy sharing, Kimjang day,’ the 4th Seoul Kimchi Festival will offer visitors opportunities to touch, feel and taste the unique Korean kimjang culture through various programs such as Making&Sharing Kimchi, where over 5,000 people get together to make kimchi for the underprivileged, Seoul Kimjanggan, where participants get to try their hands at making kimchi for our families as well the Kimchi Market and Kimchi Imagination Playground etc. From November 3rd (Fri) to 5th (Sun), 2017, Kimjang Day! Su Noraebang - Sing and Dance Like a Star at a Noraebang (Singing Room)

Release some stress at one of Seoul’s noraebangs (singing rooms); with the freedom to belt out any song of your choice, it can make for an extremely gratifying and cathartic experience. Also, it’s just some good plain fun. How can it not be when singing and dancing along with buddies to the recent hit of the month? When finding a noraebang in Seoul, one tip is to find a place that is not necessarily the most popular spot in town. There’s a higher chance of receiving more time to sing for free. Of course, there are some unique noraebangs that are worth a visit such as “Su Noraebang,” where the inside of rooms can be seen from the street through the large glass windows. Regardless, the streets of Seoul are littered with noraebangs, and is a popular activity to do after dinner.

Gangwonjeong

Gangwonjeong has been around for about 20 years, and is famous for its samgyetang (chicken ginseng soup). The flavor of the broth and tenderness of the chicken are exceptional. Chicken is stuffed with sweet rice, dates, chestnuts, ginko nuts, ginseng, and whole garlic cloves of garlic and garnished with shredded spring onions, sunflower seeds, and black sesame seeds. Kimchi makes the best accompaniment.

Eunho Sikdang

For three generations, Eunho Sikdang has been steadily maintaining the same taste of the original kkori gomtang, (oxtail soup) that they first made when they operated a street vendor stall in Namdaemun Market 70 years ago. In addition to oxtail soup, you can also have doganitang (ox knee and beef stew), seolleongtang (a thin, milky-white beef soup made from slowly simmered oxtails and bones), and suyuk (steamed pork).
