Gamcheon Culture Village Street Festival is an annual event organized entirely by the local residents, from the planning stage to the operation. Gamcheon Culture Village was formed after the Korean war, when many refugees settled in the area, building houses one on top of the other. The area is now famous for its multi-colored roofs, maze-like streets, and the beautiful murals decorating the walls of each house.
