Named to reflect the concept “first and foremost,” High1 is a multi-cultural leisure resort consisting of High1 Resort, Gangwon Land Convention Hotel, Gangwon Land Casino, Gangwon Land Hotel, High1 Ski, High1 C.C, High1 Hotel, Valley Condominium, and Mountain Condominium. The ski resort, one of the most popular parts of the High1 complex, offers a 4.2-kilometer-long slope for beginners that runs from the summit of Mount Jijangsan (alt. 1,345m). The ski resort has a total of 18 slopes, 3 gondolas, and 7 lifts. The two hotels and three condominiums at High1 house a total of 1,577 rooms. Frequented by both Korean and non-Korean travelers, High1 also boasts an 18-hole golf course and Unamjeong, a traditional Korean restaurant. Bomunsa Temple
Incheon(Ganghwa-gun) , Ganghwado Island

Bomunsa Temple is located at Seokmodo Island, which is the west of Ganghwado Island. It is said that the temple was constructed by Queen Seondeok during the Silla Era (635).  Entering the temple, you will see a 600-year-old Chinese juniper tree. Behind the tree is Seokgulamja, a small Buddhist temple in a natural cave. The entrance of the grotto is small, but the room inside is large. There is a huge millstone that the monks used for cooking beside Seokgulamja. It Is designated as Cultural Monument. If you go back side of the temple, you can see the must-see attractions here; the *Ma-aeseokbuljwasang and the Nunseop (implies eyebrow in Korean) Rock. The 10m high Ma-aeseokbuljwasang is engraved on the rock that looks like an eyebrow. The view of West Sea from Bomunsa Temple is beautiful.  The West Sea and sandy beaches of Seokmodo Island in which Bomunsa Temple is situated were featured in many films. Other specialties include ureong ssambap, a set menu of lettuce wraps and soybean paste snail stew, and meat bulgogi.

Pungnaptoseong Fortress

Onjo, the progenitor of Kingdom Baekje, first settled in Wiryeseong Hanam. But no exact location is known till today. One thing for sure, however, is that Pungnaptoseong Fortress, Mongchontoseong Fortress, Bangidong Ancient Tombs of Baekje, Seokchondong Stone Mound Tomb of Early Baekje are the remains of Baekje. Pungnaptoseong Fortress faces Hangang River to its west and connects to Mongchontoseong Fortress to the south. To the northwest faces Achasanseong Fortress over Hangang River and far to the southeast is Namhansanseong Fortress. Pungnaptoseong Fortress, located at the south end of Cheonhodaegyo Bridge over Hangang River, is one of the remains of Early Baekje. Originally, the fortress was 4km in circumference, but due to massive overflowing of Hangang River during flood season in 1925, most of the fortress was lost and only 2.7km of it remains. To the east of the fortress are 4 vestiges of the fortress gates. The remains from the prehistoric era through the Samguk (Three States) era have been unearthed, indicating that this place was a residential area well before the Baekje Era. Through vigorous excavation, some people suggest that there used to be a palace located here during the Baekje Era.

Sukyoung Sikdang

Housed in an old hanok (traditional Korean house) Sukyoung Sikdang (숙영식당) is a restaurant famous for its glutinous barley rice meal. Various kinds of grains are mixed with glutinous barley rice to make a sticky and savory rice dish complete with seven different kinds of wild greens. For an extra boost of flavor, try mixing in the various herbs provided with lots of dressing and sesame oil. Even though the meal comes with bean paste-jjigae, if you’re still hungry take a trip to the traditional bakery located nearby (‘Hwangnam Bread’) for an extra special treat.

Byeonsan Beach
Jeollabuk-do(Buan-gun)

Byeonsan Beach along with Daecheon Beach and Manripo Beach, is one of the three most popular beaches on the west coast of Korea. Byeonsan Beach is known for its white sand beach and fir trees. Since the water is tranquil and not very deep, this beach is a favorite summer vacationing spot for over a million people every year. What really draws the crowds to this shore is its 2km-long white sand beach and Bangpungrim, the windbreaker fir forest. The low tide lets the white sand beach extend out so far that you would have to walk a good 30 minutes to reach the end. During the summer, the Bangpungrim provides cool shade, and during the winter, acts as a buffer against the cold wind. The beach looks especially beautiful during low tide.You can taste the fresh fruits and vegetables that are produced in the surrounding mountain areas. You can also have fresh seafood from the nearby fishing villages. The only drawback of Byeonsan Beach is that accommodations are limited and you might be better off staying in the neighboring town of Gyeokpohang.
