Busan(Dongnae-gu)

Chungcheongbuk-do(Cheongju-si)

A large number of relics were unearthed at this site due to a land development project in 1985. Work was halted and relics were excavated by the Cheongju University Museum. The time and size of Heungdeoksa Temple is unknown, but according to Jikji (Buljojikjisimcheyojeol, the world’s oldest existing book printed with movable metal type), the excavated books were printed using metal types at the temple in the third year of King Uwang’s reign (1377). The books were published 78 years earlier than Gutenberg’s invention. In 1972, the Jikji was officially recognized as the world’s oldest book printed with movable metal type during the International Book Year. The Buljojikjisimcheyojeol is currently kept at the National Library of France.


Gyeonggi-do(Yeoncheon-gun) , Pocheon

Originating in Cheorwon, Gangwon-do, Hantangang River meets with Youngpyeongcheon Stream that runs through Uncheon and Pocheon to the Imjingang River. Hantangang River is divided into two branches at Jeongok Dam before joining the Imjingang River. One branch runs through Pocheon and the other goes through Yeoncheon. The Hantangang River area around Jeongok Dam, is known for its bass fishing, but the anglers avoid the branch that runs through Pocheon because the water is polluted.


Gangwon-do(Pyeongchang-gun)

Located within Woljeongsa Temple in Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do, Woljeongsa Museum was founded in October 1999, and began displaying treasures and artifacts from some 60 plus temples in the southern part of Gangwon region. Currently, the museum houses Sangwonsa Temple’s Jungchanggwonseonmun (National Treasure No. 292) and Woljinseokbo (Treasure No. 745), the remains of Octagonal nine-story pagoda (National Treasure No 48), and many other treasures.


Incheon(Jung-gu)

Located in front of Incheon Yeonan Pier, K-Motel provides easy access to both domestic and international ferries which depart regularly to nearby islands, including Jeju, along the west coast. Jeollabuk-do(Gochang-gun)

The Borinara Hagwon Farm is a large-scale barley farm that measures an extensive 561,983m² (1,843,780 ft). It is the nation’s largest barley field, which requires a full week to harvest the crop. The field is now hosting a green barley festival to celebrate the burgeoning beauty of the season. The festival is the perfect spring getaway where you may enjoy walking through the rolling green hills of the country’s most extensive barley field. A diverse range of family friendly, hands-on events are available to visitors who wish to truly capture the country experience. Once the barley harvest is completed, the buckwheat harvest begins. From late summer to early autumn, the field is filled with snow-white buckwheat flowers that create a seemingly endless, breathtaking view. The buckwheat flower festival takes place around September. Between the barely harvest and the buckwheat seeding, sunflowers color the field a bright sunshine yellow. Any time from spring through autumn, you may enjoy the ever-changing beauty of nature.


Jeollabuk-do(Jeonju-si)

Opened in April 2008 in Sangnim-dong, Jeonju-si, Jeonju Film Studio Complex consists of a large indoor studio two-stories high with a basement level, and several ornate outdoor sets over a sprawling 56,900㎡ (186,700 ft). Auxiliary facilities include a set construction room, staff room, dressing room, art/prop room, and lounge. The indoor studio in particular is considered to be the best site to film special effects in Korea for its 17-meter (56 ft) high ceiling and water pressure control facilities, used for making natural rain scenes. The Jeonju Film Studio Complex is the first studio in Korea to be established by local government, and is equipped with adjustable outdoor sets. Many popular Korean films have been recorded here, including Ssanghwajeom (2008), Private Eye (2009), Jeonuchi (2009), The Unjust (2010), Battlefield Heroes (2010), and My Way (2011).


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Gyeongju-si)

Basilla, a 2017 Performance Presented in Collaboration between Jeongdong Theater & Gyeongju World Culture Expo  The Show Has Become Even More Powerful Than Ever!  - SILLA: Basilla, an upgrade repertoire of the Gyeongju Brand Performance Presented by Jeongdong Theater A hidden story from the Silla Kingdom with a thousand years of history  The breathtaking performance you can find only in Gyeongju -      SILLA: Basilla has become an even more powerful and spectacular show, presented by Jeongdong Theater in 2016 as a part of its performance series in Gyeongju The breathtaking performance you can find only in Gyeongju   Jeongdong Theater Foundation (CEO: Son Sangwon) showcased an upgraded version of Basilla, a major repertoire of the Gyeongju Brand Performance SILLA on March 27 at Cultural Center Theater, Gyeongju World Culture Expo. Premiering in 2015, Basill are interprets a Persian epic poem called Kush-Nama in an attempt to incorporate historical content and performance art, and uses storytelling as an important tool that can appeal to the audience. Audiences have highly praised the show for depicting the incredible cultural encounter between the Persian Empire and Silla Kingdom through a new kind of stage performance and stage directing. In 2016, Basilla has returned as an even more intense and spectacular show, with several new features that add more depth to choreography, more sophistication to video design, and a stronger sense of narrative to music. As a part of the "Project for Revitalizing Local Culture" that began in 2011, Jeongdong Theater launched the Gyeongju Performance Brand called SILLA and showcased high-quality creative traditional performances in the local area so as to take a big step towards establishing a theater that produces only traditional performance art. Jeongdong Theater has successfully introduced to the field of cultural tourism a futuristic performance art which can still reflect the history and culture of Gyeongju. Basilla attracted a total of 2.000.000 audience members by the end of 2015 and greatly enhanced its reputation as a Gyeongju Brand Performance.     This year's upgraded version of Basilla ains to differentiate itself from any other local open-run show as a "must-see performance with a high level of performance" by creating more sophisticated and artistic scenes on stage. The audiences will be able to enjoy a more intense, spectacular, and harmonious show filled with artistic choreography with a strong sense of narrative, beautiful costumes and props that reenact the grand culture of the Silla Kingdom and the Persian Empire, video and lighting designs that blur the distinction between reality and fantasy, and great music that successfully delivers the story. Gyeongsangbuk-do(Gyeongju-si)

Silla Arts and Science Museum is located in Gyeongju Folk Craft Village, and displays miniature models of cultural assets in the region in order to promote the scientific principles of the cultural properties. On the first floor of the museum are cultural items including Sillawanggyeongdo, unearthed relics from Hwangnamdaechong Tomb and a reconstruction of relics from Namsan Mountain. The second floor houses a golden crown of Silla and Baekje, and Tripitaka Koreana of Haeinsa Temple. The basement has miniatures of Seokguram Grotto and Gunwisamjonseokbul in Palgongsan Mountain. Outside the museum, Gameunsaji and Cheomseongdae observatory are on display. The museum is unique for promoting scientific preservation methods of cultural relics based on a thorough analysis of their structure and genuine beauty.
