Korea Expressway Corporation Arboretum
Jeollabuk-do(Jeonju-si)

Korea Expressway Corporation Arboretum (Jeonju Arboretum) is located in a relatively warm region of the country, reaching 20-30 meters in altitude. Operated by Korea Expressway Corporation, the garden is a nonprofit aboretum that is free and open to the public. The garden was built to restore the local environment that was damaged during the construction of an expressway in 1972, starting with nursery field. The builders then began collecting plants in 1983, and eventually opened the garden in 1992. The arboretum now sees an average of 200,000 visitors per year. The garden operates various hands-on programs and summer educational programs due to its diverse plant species.

Haeundae Station

Haeundae Station is located between Uil Station and Songjeong Station in U-dong, Haeundae-gu, Busan. It began operating as an ordinary station on July 15, 1934 and stop handling cargo in 2006. The station handles ticket sales and is one of the stops on the Mugunghwa train route. Haeundae Beach is also nearby.

NANTA Jeju

NANTA has been running since October 1997 and is the most popular show ever in Korea. It also has achieved outstanding international success, having been performed on Broadway and around the US and the rest of the world. It receives rave reviews wherever it performs, and quickly sells out.Without any dialogue, but through the rhythmic banging of knives, pots and pans, NANTA (or Cookin’ according to the American name) tells the story of four crazy chefs who have been set on an impossible  mission of making a wedding banquet in just one hour. What follows is pure musical mayhem, and they even manage to fit in a love story! The show is based on Korea’s traditional garak (rhythms) of samulnori (traditional Korean percussion quartet), and can be enjoyed by the whole family.NANTA is currently being performed at the Gangnam NANTA Theater, with performances from Tuesday to Sunday every week.*NoteDue to the MERS outbreak, some performances will be discontinued until July 2015. Bungeoseom Island

Bungeoseom is a small freshwater island located in Ha-ri, Hwacheon-eup, Hwacheon-gun, Gangwon-do Province. It was created as a result of the construction of the Chuncheon Dam. The island was turned into a green recreational site with environment-friendly facilities and is also used as a fishing ground and rest area for county residents. The Hwacheon County Office planted trees and made a bicycle road to make it more appealing to visitors. Every year, regional cultural festivals are held here like the Nangcheon Ice Festival in mid January, the Bimok Cultural Festival in June, and the Yonghwa Festival in October. Nearby, there are many tourist sites like the Chilseongnu Pavilion, Hwacheonhyanggyo Confucian School, Mireukbawi Rock, and Hwacheongang River.

Muju Meoru Wine Cave

The Meoru Wine Cave in Muju is surrounded by a beautiful natural landscape and various cultural heritages. The wine tunnel in this cave matures, stores, and sells meoru (Korean wild grape) wine, which is a representative local specialty of Muju-gun County. The cave is composed of the Wine House and the Secret Gate of meoru wine. The two-story Wine House has the Banditbul Agricultural Specialty Shop and the Wine Café that also sells traditional teas. The Secret Gate includes a wine café, wine tasting room, and a wine storage area.
