Jeollabuk-do(Gunsan-si)

Located in Gunsan, Jeollabuk-do, Eunpa Lake Park was once a reservoir built before the Joseon Dynasty that supplied water to nearby farms. The lake and its surrounding mountains were designated a national tourist site in 1985, but remain historically significant as they are featured on Daedongyeojido (Grand Map of Korea), a revered document developed by geographer Kim Jeong-ho. Busan(Jung-gu)

Located in Gwangbok-dong, Busan, Yedang is a restaurant specializing in sundubu (soft tofu stew). Other items on their menu include haemul pajeon (seafood & green onion pancake), stone pot bibimbap, tteokgalbi (grilled short rib meat patties), bulgogi, and galbijjim (braised beef ribs). Jangseogak (장서각) was established by Yi Wang-jik in 1918 as a library for Korean studies. Since its opening, the library has housed archives of Korean classics and modern works as well as the Jangseogak documents, which were transferred from the Cultural Asset Management Bureau (now Cultural Heritage Administration of Korea) in 1971.Jangseogak has a stack room, a space for collecting and arranging classical manuscripts and general books, a reading room, a room for references and genealogical records, a theses and periodicals room, an area for special documents, and rooms for filming, photocopying, and developing microfilms. It contains documents for scholastic research and education.Most notably, the Jangseogak holds the Uigwe (287 types 490 books, or Royal Protocols of the Joseon Dynasty, and Donguibogam (25 volumes 25 books/Treasure No. 1085-2) documents, which are both listed on the UNESCO Memory of the World register. 


Gyeonggi-do(Suwon-si) , suwon

In honor of the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan, Suwon adopted the idea of ‘restrooms with culture’- building beautiful, clean, brand new bathrooms at main tourist sites around the city. The Firefly Restroom, located near the Gwanggyo Reservoir, is the most beautiful of them all. It features a tunnel for the handicapped, a ceiling which filters light, a simple interior, a coffee vending machine, and a rest area.


Jeollanam-do(Damyang-gun)

The Gasa Poetry Hall is located in Damyang in Jeollanam-do Province, an area which is famous for its fertile land and rich historical heritage. During the Joseon Dynasty, when Chinese classical literature had great influence, some scholars wrote poems in Korean called "Gasa." A total of 18 representative Gasa poems such as "Gwandongbyeolgok" and "Samiingok" are housed in the Gasa Poetry Hall, earning Damyang the title of "the heart of Gasa poetry." Damyang-gun County established the Gasa Poetry Hall in order to pass down the important cultural heritage of Gasa to future generations. In the museum, historical literature such as “Myeonangjip” (a collection of Gasa poems by Song Sun) and “Songgangjip,” (a collection of Gasa poems by Jeong Cheol) are on display. In the auxiliary facilities, local specialties are exhibited and traditional teas are available for purchase. Other major tourist attractions in the area are Soswaewon Garden and Sigyeongjeong Pavilion, whose beauty has been source of inspiration for Gasa poets throughout history.
