Gyeongsangbuk-do(Andong-si)

Located in the middle of Andong Gyeongbuk, Pil Motel Sauna is convenient for transportation. Inside of cozy four-storied building, a lobby and front office are placed for guests’ room service. Guestrooms are divided into the bedrooms and Korean-styled Ondol room, and there are a diversity of beds; double bed, twin bed, etc. The room is relatively wide and clean, and is in good conditions. Guests can stay comfortably in the room. The room is well equipped with fixture and furniture. As auxiliary facility, the motel provides a public sauna and guests can freely use such sauna. Visitors can easily approach this motel by public transportation because it is within 8-minutes walk from Andong Inter-city Bus Terminal. Gangwon-do(Yeongwol-gun)

Chosun Minhwa Museum finished construction in 1998, in Waseok-ri, Gimsatga-myeon, Yeongwol-gun, Gangwon-do and opened on July 29, 2000. The museum contains about 3,000 folk paintings (minhwa) from the Joseon era and is comprised of a hands-on program hall where visitors can paint a minhwa on a wood plate and the chunhwa (obscene painting) exhibition which is eligible for only adults. In addition to this museum, Gimsatgat Culture Hall and Indian Art Museum are also in Yeongwol.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Namhae-gun)

Situated on the outskirts of Sinbulsan Mountain (part of the Yeongnam mountain range, in southeastern Korea), Deungeok Hot Springs (72,727m²) is a sprawling geothermal site which includes the Sinbulsan, Eonyang, and Gajisan Hot Springs. Nearby to the Sinbulsan, Gajisan, and Ganwolsan Mountains of the Yeongnam mountain range, the complex is ideal for visitors seeking rest and relaxation after their hiking adventures. The water found in the area contains high concentrations of sodium bicarbonate (substance similar to baking soda), which is believed to be a remedy for dermatitis, indigestion, bronchitis, high blood pressure, and many other ailments. Nearby attractions include Amethyst Cavern Park, Dokkaebi Road, Jakcheonjeong, Ganwol Natural Recreation Forest, and Seongnamsa Temple. ​


Gyeongsangnam-do(Geochang-gun)

Jangsaengpo Whale Life Experience Museum is a whale aquarium, located inside Jangsaengpo Ocean Park. Various fresh water and salt water tropical fish, shark, and sea turtles also live at the aquarium. In a submarine tunnel, real dolphins can be seen and many diverse dolphin-related programs have been prepared. There is an animation regarding whales showing at the 4D movie theater and the hands-on zoo is raising reptiles and birds, attracting many children interested in touching, feeding and taking pictures of the animals. * Opening date: November 24, 2009


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Uljin-gun)

At the Baegam Hot Springs Special Tourist Zone, visitors can enjoy both the lush mountain terrain of the Baekdudaegan Mountain Range and the magnificent scenery of the East Sea. The hot springs of Baegam are one of the most popular tourist attractions in the region and are visited by travelers from across the nation. The water temperature reaches as high as 53 degrees Celsius and contains various minerals and elements, including a strong alkaline content. This makes the water effective in treating neuralgia, arthritis and apoplexy. Recently, it was reported that the water is also beneficial for those with atopic dermatitis, thereby attracting the elderly and families. Recreational facilities for children are also available. The hot springs are located at the foot of the 1,004-meter-high Baegamsan Mountain. The mountain trails lead to Yeongyang and Bonghwa and are frequented by hikers. Densely covered with pine trees, the mountain also has plenty of deep valleys. Sinseon Valley, where, according to legend a dragon once lived, has an abundance of water flowing in different directions. The Baegam Hot Springs Festival takes place annually in early August. On weekends during the festival period, visitors can enjoy street performances and other programs. In the vicinity are Jukbyeon Port and Hupo Port, which are known for snow crabs, and Mangyangjeong Pavilion and Wolsongjeong Pavilion where one can enjoy a beautiful view of the sea. The Jarasum Fireworks Festival will be held in August on Jaraseom Island. In the day time, various activities such as themed zones for camping, beer and barbeque, and tanning are available, and at night fireworks shows and performances will entertain guests through the hot summer night.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Gimhae-si)

Taehwagang River cuts across Ulsan City from the east to west and originates in the valley between Ssalbawi of Gijisan Mountain and Tapgolsaem of Baekunsan Mountain. The 47.54km river passes through downtown Ulsan and empties out into Ulsan Bay, which is connected to the East Sea. Not just a symbol of pride for the people of Ulsan, the river has long since been a precious commodity that has played a pivotal role in Ulsan town culture and history. The Tadhwa River is home to 'Sipridaebatgyo' and the 'Taewha River Observatory.' Sipridaebatgyo is one of the bridges spanning the river and symbolizes the whale and white heron (symbols of Ulsan). Taewha River Observatory, on the other hand, gives visitors a chance to explore the ecology of the river and watch the area’s migratory birds. There are several convenient facilities near the river such as the bamboo forest park, grassy fields, a pampas grass colony, trails, and exercise facilities. The riverside area is a famous habitat for migratory birds and is a popular leisure spot for Ulsan citizens. Located near the riverhead is Gaji Mountain; the city park near the mountain is another recreational region and is dotted with cultural assets.


Gangwon-do(Gangneung-si)

Located on Gangneung Beach in Gangwon-do Province, the Bliss Pension is designed according to the concepts of comfort and refinement. Wolchulsan Mountain Gichan Land is a new tourism attraction set in the clean valley and fresh air at the foot of Cheonhwangbong Peak of Wolchulsan Mountain. Many famous people come from the area, including Kim Changjo who created folklore music, Nangsan Kim Junyeon, a member of the Consituent Assembly, Admiral Kang Kicheon, Jo Hunhyeon, King of Baduk game and others. Gichan Land houses Gayageum Theme Park to offer folk culture as well as nature-pool, spirit health center, pension, physical facilities, well-being prayer road, and others. Wolchulsan Well-being Prayer Road features a health road to experience water, forest, and rocks on the road to Wolchulsan Mountain. The 1.1km long Wolchulsan Well-being Prayer Road stretches from Gichan-gil Walking path to Ki Sports Park and Sowon-ro. The path is decorated with more than 30 years of pine trees, eco-friendly wooden bridge, and a resting area. Wolchulsan Pray Road stretches from the entrance of Cheonhwangsaji and Ki Sports Park to Gichan Land (4km) plus the 3km-road from Historic Site of Wang In to the entrance of Dogapsa Temple. Wolchulsan National Park features breathtaking scenery, plentiful cultural resources and folklore atmosphere of the Southern area. The mountain was formed as a residual hill of the Sobaek Mountain Range going into the Mokpo sea and meets the projecting rocks. The whole area is centered around Cheonwangbong Peak (alt 809m) and is surrounded by uniquely-formed rocks and cliffs. The area is the birth place of Wangin (Baekje) and Doseon Guksa (Late Silla). Various cultural assets are also located here, including Gengnakjeon Hall and Rock-carved Seated Buddha in Muwisa Temple in south side and Dogapsa Temple in west side based on Cheonwangbong Peak.
