S&Penguins cafe is a cafe operated and owned by Kim So Hye, who debuted from a project girl group I.O.I. The cafe also serves as a space for, “Penguin People,” which are what fans of Kim So Hye are called. Photos/Professional shoots of Kim So Hye are displayed in different sizes. Also, there is a penguin that has been made into character dolls, and clothes that are being sold. Varieties of coffee beverages are sold (roughly 3,000 won to 5,000 won), which is quite inexpensive.  


Busan(Geumjeong-gu)

Geumjeongsanseong Fortress (금정산성) is located on the peak of Mt. Geumjeongsan (801.5m) in Busan. Its original name was Dongrae Mountain Fortress, but it was changed because of its location.Its length is 17,377m, and 1.5m~3m high; it is the largest fortress in Korea. But now there is only a 4 km section remaining from the original. The exact time of the fortification is not recorded, but in reference to the location and size, it is presumed to have been built during the Three Kingdoms Era (when Goguryeo, Baekje, and Silla, the three dynasties, were fighting against each other). The present fortress was built in 1703, during the reign of Suk-Jong. It was built after Imjin Waeran (Japanese Invasion of Korea from 1592~1598) to prepare for any further invasions from Japan. It was first built with stones and was renovated in 1707. During the dark years under Japanese sovereignty it was damaged and devastated.In 1971, it was designated as private property. The West, East and South Gates have been reintegrated, and it is still undergoing the restoration process. On the fortress barbican there is Munru (watch tower). There is another watch tower called Mangru to watch for enemies. Different from other mountains, it is easy to find spring water here, and because it is a granite area, you can easily see rock caves and small and big rock peaks at Mt. Geumjeongsan.

Sansuyu Village is like a messenger of spring, with its beautiful yellow sansuyu flower (cornus) in full bloom, and springtime picnickers coming in droves to Jirisan Mountain to capture this beautiful moment. Jeollanam-do(Haenam-gun)

This area is famous as it is on the very tip of the Korean peninsula, located in Galdu-ri of Songji-myeon. This is where Baekdusan Mountain ends reaching the tip of the peninsula. Many people visit the area so they can say they’ve stepped on the end of the land and it has long become a prime destination in Haenam.At the summit of Sajabong peak there is an observatory that stands 38m high. From the observatory you can get a full viewing of the Dalmasan Mountain in the north while in the east, fishing vessels can be seen skirting deftly on the surface of the sea. Atop the summit of Sajabong peak, there is a restored old beacon (Bonghwadae) which in the past was strategically located to warn of approaching Japanese ships. In the village proper, the area known as Ttangkkeut Village (땅끝마을), special events take place to celebrate the end of year and the first day of the New Year, which also draws many tourists to the area from all over the country.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Hadong-gun)

Agyang-myeon located in Hadong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do province is home to Korea’s well-known Jirisan Mountain, and the crystal clear waters of Seomjingang River. Two mountain ranges, both beginning from Samsinbong Peak, form the natural boundaries of the area and its villages.Agyang-myeon’s unique atmosphere invokes feelings of nostaligia as well as fresh natural scents of the outdoors. At the foot of the mountain is a time-honored wild tea field that has existed more than 1,300 years. Green tea from Hadong has long been known as superior to all other green teas.The area is also famous as the setting of ’Toji’, a saga written by Korea’s famed author Park Gyeong-Ri. Some places referenced in the novel include Cham Pan Choi’s residence and Pyeongsa-ri Park. Every autumn, the “Toji Literature Festival” takes place here. For its representative traditions and many other reasons, Agyang-myeon was designated the fifth Slow City in Korea in 2009. The city is the first tea producing area designate as a Slow City, and the green tea of Hadong was officially recognized as a local specialty by the World Slow City Network General Assembly.


Chungcheongnam-do(Cheongyang-gun)

Mt. Chilgapsan, located in Cheongyang-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, was designated as a provincial park in 1973. This mountain, 561 meters above sea level, has been called “The Alps of Chungcheongnam-do.” Mt. Chilgapsan area has many peaks, a thick forest and a beautiful valley. Each season has its own unique atmosphere. There are romantic cherry blossoms in spring, vivid green leaves in summer, autumn tints in fall and a snow-covered landscape in winter. Mountaineers visit all year round and can choose from seven courses.


Gangwon-do(Jeongseon-gun)

Gangwon-do's Jeongseon 5-Day Market is the place to go to if you would like to buy mountain herbs. The generosity of the market's citizens can be felt while exploring the grounds for its famous wild greens during spring, and medicinal herbs in the autumn.Jeongseon Market's specially featured product is the Goraengji, a vegetable that grows in mountainous regions or on plateaus at 500~700m above sea level. There are also many unique dishes in Gangwon-do that will catch your eye or whet your appetite. One delectable item is a dish made with buckwheat (or somtimes with corn flower) noodles, but be careful, as it is called Kotdeungchigi (hit the nose), because people would pull on the noodles too hard when eating and get hit in the nose. In order to experience the full atmosphere of the country market, you must try drinking a bowl of corn makgeolli (Korean wine), a specialty of Gangwon-do, and eating a bowl of Kotdeungchigi noodles while sitting on a mat.To get to the Jeongseon Market, take the Jeongseon 5-Day Market Train from Cheongnyangni Station, departing at 8:10am, for a 4hr ride to Jeongseon Station that arrives at around 12:00pm.
