Jeollanam-do(Suncheon-si)

Cheonghae in Suncheon, Jeollanam-do Province is well known for its set menus comprised of specialties from Jeonju (salted, pickled and fermented foods), Yeosu (seafood), and Japan. Moreover, it offers easy access to the famous Suncheonman Bay Ecological Park.


Jeju-do(Jeju-si)

The Jeju Olle Walking Festival is held in autumn when Jeju’s nature is at its best, to offer the opportunity of walking the wonderful Jeju Island with fellow participants who enjoy walking tours, along with performances and food. The festival started in 2010 on Jeju Olle Trail - Route 1 and finally reaches its last official course, Jeju Olle Trail - Route 21 in this year’s festival after walking around the whole of Jeju Island. Continuing for two consecutive days, the first day and second day walk through Route 20 and Route 21 respectively. Through this festival, people can experience various cultural art programs as well.


Jeollabuk-do(Sunchang-gun)

Sunchang Traditional Paste Museum is located across from the Sunchang Gochujang Village. The 2-story building (1,513㎡ in size) consists of a permanent exhibition hall exhibiting Jangnyu (Fermented Sauces) such as red pepper pastes and soybean pastes, a planned exhibition hall displaying cultural treasures of Sunchang, and an outdoor square.At the permanent exhibition hall, recipes for fermented sauces and their histories are introduced, and containers for fermented sauces are displayed. An observation room for the fermentation process and spaces for hands-on experience activities are at the corners. The outdoor square attracts people with a terrace displaying earthen wares that are used to contain the fermented sauces, as well as a millstone worked by horse or ox, and an old tomb from the Baekje dynasty.


Chungcheongbuk-do(Jecheon-si)

Neungkang Sotdae Art Museum in Neunggang-ri of Jechun-si City in Chungcheongbuk-do Province is a museum of 'sotdaes,' which are ancient prayer poles with a duck or bird-shaped figurine on top that were usually placed at the village entrance. Many of these artifacts can be found inside and outside of a modern structure at the museum site, which is located near the vast Chungju Lake. Other nearby tourist attractions include Neunggang Valley that is situated at the foot of Geumsusan Mountain and surrounded by lush pine forests, rocky cliffs, streams and waterfalls. There is also Jeongbangsa Temple, which is told to have been built by the renowned Buddhist priest, Uisang, during the Silla Kingdom.


Jeollanam-do(Yeosu-si)

Manseongni Black Sand Beach is located 3 kilometers to the north along the coastal road from Yeosu Station. The beach, 540 meters in length and 25 meters in x_width, has an average water temperature of 25 degrees Celsius. The black sand is said to help blood circulation and remove toxins from the body. April 20 by the lunar calendar (around the end of May to early June in the solar calendar) is known as the “day when the black sand opens its eyes.” Visitors flock to Manseongni Beach to enjoy the maximum effects of the black sand bath. Located 2 kilometers from Manseongni Beach is another beach surrounded by excellent scenery. This place is ideal for taking drives and is popular among vacationers as well as anglers in the summer.


Jeollanam-do(Mokpo-si)

Gyeonggi-do(Suwon-si) , suwon

After demolishing the house in which he lived for 30 years, Mr. Toilet, Sim Jaedeok, built this house in the shaped of a toilet in order to celebrate the establishment of the World Toilet Association (WTA). He named it Haewoojae (해우재), which means "a house to relive one’s concerns," a term used in temples when referring to the restroom. Construction began in May 2007 by architect Go Giung, and finished on November 11, 2007. Haewoojae was credited as being the biggest toilet sculpture by the Korea Record Institute in 2007, and it got a lot of attention by domestic and foreign media outlets. After Sim Jaedeok passed away, his family donated the house to Suwon-si in July 2009, according to his will, and Suwon-si decided to remodel the place to commemorate him, making it into a Haewoojae cultural exhibit. * Opening date: October 30, 2010

Gyeonggi-do(Yeoncheon-gun)

The area surrounding the Hantangang River (한탄강) has is littered with countless volcanic rocks from past volcanic activity. These rocks are basaltic, and are commonly called gombo (a face with chicken pox marks) rock because they are covered in small holes that form from air bubbles when volcanic lava cools rapidly. The surrounding scenery of the Hantangang River area is truly breathtaking and is also the site of a famous amusement park. The Hantangang River Resort, located in the lower region of the Hantangang River, stretches along 1.5 kilometers of the river;s shore between the Sarang Bridge and the Hantan Bridge in Jeongok-ri, Yeoncheon-gun. The Hantangang River flows from Pyeonggang in North Korea, flows through Cheorwon, Pocheon and Yeoncheon and eventually joins the Imjingang River. The river features many scenic locales, including a large valley, the walls of which consist of many rare rocks. Jeollanam-do(Wando-gun)

Wando Tower is an impressive 76 meters in x_height, and stands at the top of Dongmangsan Mountain in Wando-eup. The area includes a plaza, walking path, resting area, and offers a fantastic view of the sunrise, sunset, and city at night. The tower also overlooks several islands including Cheongsando Island, Bogildo Island, Nohwado Island, Sinjido Island and Gogeumdo Island. On clear days with high visibility, some islands like Jejudo Island and Geomundo Island are also within sight. Located next to the tower is Bongsudae (a fire signal beacon) and a walking path through Dongmangsan Mountain.
