Seoul(Mapo-gu)

The general store area sells bags and other unique modern accessories made of fabrics used in Korean traditional accessories. Tu-joues Café serves Korean traditional beverages. Last but not least, the Tu-joues Gallery is where local artists display their collection of crafts on the fifth day of every month. The crafts on display are available.


Jeollabuk-do(Muju-gun)

In Deokyusan national park, Dasup Pension is located. Nearby, Muju Resort is placed, so that this pension can be easily found. This pension's biggest advantage is that the pension has the beautiful natural environment of Muju Gucheondong. The pension's exterior looks like Europe style's wooden house but has the traditional style's roof. Dasup Pension has total 20 rooms including the standard rooms and pension rooms. As the pension room with cooking utensils, there are 9 rooms (26 pyong, 20 pyong, 18 pyong, 15 pyong). The room is equipped with TV, fridge, bedding, cooking facility, dining table, electric rice cooker, toilet and shower. The standard rooms include the bed-room and Ondol room. As auxiliary facilities, there are the open-air cooking area, outdoor banquet are BBQ facility. Nearby, there are Deokyusan national park, Jeoksang mountain, Muju resort, and Muju Gucheondong as tourist spots. In winter, travelers can enjoy ski at Muju Resort and the ski rental shop is within the pension.


Chungcheongbuk-do(Boeun-gun)

Samnyeonsanseong Fortress in surrounded by the gorgeous mountains of Boeun County. The area is considered one of the most magnificent spots in Chungbuk Province, which was also the site of many battles during the Three Kingdom Period.Samnyeonsanseong Fortress was so named because it was completed three years after construction began in 470 A.D. (during the reign of King Jabi Maripgan). The fortress was at the forefront of Silla’s expansion into northwest territories. It was also the site where King Muyeol (654-661 A.D.) welcomed the Dang Dynasty ambassador during the War of the Three Kingdoms.The sprawling stone-built walls stretch over a mile in length with x_heights and x_widths of 13 and 8-10 meters respectively. The compound still has traces of the north, east and west gate locations which give explanation to ancient theories of fortress construction in Korea. 


Gwangju(Gwangsan-gu)

Chungcheongnam-do()

Textbook Museum, the only one of its kind in the world, was established by the textbook publishing company Nirae-N with an aim to offer a historical overview of the Korean education system. It showcases Korean textbooks from the 19th century Enlightenment period to the contemporary time, and also carries a collection of foreign textbooks as well as North Korean textbooks. Located inside the publishing factory, the museum enables viewing of the textbook publishing process.


Gyeonggi-do(Yangpyeong-gun) , Yangpyeong

Yongmunsan Natural Recreation Forest offers, log cabins, camping sites, a multi-purpose playground, walking paths, and hiking trails. The forest offers a great view of downtown Yangpyeong and blends well with the surrounding landscape. The Baegunbong hiking trail inside the forest is recognized as one of the best trails in the area. Baegunbong Peak is 940 meters high and one of the more popular hiking destinations on the mountain. Various rest facilities are provided along the trail. There are several hiking trails, all of which are relatively gentle, and continuous work is underway to improve the trails. The forest is a popular destination in Yangpyeong and a treasure house of natural ecology where visitors can observe various plants all year round.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Gyeongsan-si)

Palgongsan Mountain (1,192m in elevation), in the outlying reaches of the Taebaek Range, stands sentinel over the spot where the Nakdonggang River and Geumhogang River converge. In the past, Palgongsan Mountain was regarded as a sacred mountain because it resembles the shape of the Three Buddhas. This mountain has magnificent granite formations at higher elevations, and the beautiful valleys, seamlessly interwoven with rock formations and thick forests, make for a spectacular view. Palgongsan Mountain borders Gyeongsan, Yeongcheon, Gunwi-gun and Chilgok-gun in the north and surrounds Daegu metropolitan city in the south. With Birobong Peak in the middle, it extends to Dongbong Peak – Gwanbong Peak (Gatbawi Stone Buddha) in the east and Seobong Peak – Gasan Fortress in the west (20km long). It also offers many beautiful trails. Located to the north of Gyeongsan City, Palgongsan Mountain has a splendid history, as many ancient temples and historical sites such as the Gatbawi Stone Buddha, Wonhyosa Temple, Cheonseongsa Temple and Bulguksa Temple are found on this mountain.  


Chungcheongbuk-do(Boeun-gun)


Seoul(Jongno-gu) , Insadong・Jongnon

Located at the Jongno-bound entrance of the Insa-dong main street in Jongno-gu, Seoul, Insa Gallery specializes in Korean traditional mother-of-pearl lacquer crafts. Popularly known as “Najeonchilgi” in Korean, the term, which refers to mother-of-pearl lacquer crafts, is shared in Korea, Japan, and China through Chinese characters. Various decorative items are embellished with mother-of-pearls and lacquered in various colors and glazes. Insa Gallery sells all kinds of mother-of-pearl lacquer crafts, including jewelry boxes, picture frames, plates, name card cases, hand mirrors, key chains, and other portable accessories. The products on sale range from traditional motifs to modern designs, such as wine stand. The store also carries specialized Korean tourism products that make for great gifts or collector’s items. Located on the first floor of Daeil Building, Insa Gallery is part of the shopping mall “Insa Korea,” which houses a number of stores specializing in traditional products. Thus, when locating Insa Gallery, visitors might find the address alone confusing. First, enter the shopping mall and look straight ahead toward the end of the central hallway, and you will find the store filled with glittering mother-of-pearl lacquer products.


Jeollanam-do(Jangheung-gun)

Cheongwansan Provincial Park is located on Cheongwansan Mountain, which is considered one of the best mountains in southwest Korea, along with Jirisan, Naejangsan, Wolchulsan and Naebyeonsan mountains. The name of Cheongwan comes from the fact that the surrounding boulders resemble a thorny crown worn by an emperor. In autumn, fields of silver grass unfold around the mountain peak, allowing for the Cheongwansan Silver Grass Festival to take place on Yeondaebong (silver grass plain). Also, from the top of the mountain, several grand landmarks like Dadohae archipelago, Wochulsan Mountain and Mudeungsan Mountain in nearby cities can be seen. On a clear day, visitors can even see Hallasan Mountain on Jeju-do Island. In the middle of the mountain is Cheongwansa Temple, which houses precious cultural properties including Cheongwansa Three-Story Pagoda (Treasure No.795), Cheongwansa Seokdeung (stone lantern), Five-Story Pagoda, and Jangheung Tapsansaji Seokdeung (stone lantern). Finally, the park features lodging facilities, multiple hiking trails, as well as various convenience and recreational facilities such as Cheongwansan Natural Recreation Forest and Cheongwansan Literature Park by the park.
