Soulone, meaning "filled with laughter," is a hidden healing space of approximately13,200 m². This is a place where you can rest your weary body and mind while being surrounded by the trees and flowers. You can also rest your eyes quietly gazing at garden trees, rocks, and potted plants (bonsai) beautifully decorating the place along with other other kinds of plants, like tropical plants in the greenhouse. A coffee shop with a modern interior will allow you to enjoy the landscaped garden at a glance while sipping your coffee. Also, it is refreshing to take a light walk along the tunnel of trees on the mountain road.

Gangwon-do(Yangyang-gun)

Osaek Hot Springs is in Osaekjigu, a part of Namseorak, and is reputed to have been discovered by a Buddhist monk of Seongguk temple from the Joseon Period (1392~1910). It is 20Km west of Yangyang, 5Km Southeast of Hangyeryeong, and 30km to the south of it is the Osaek mineral spring resort. From three base rocks at the resort come rivulets flowing with water high in iron and carbonic acid, which is good for stomach-ailments, anemia, and neuralgia. The water temperature is relatively low at 30 ℃, and is high in sulfur as well. The water at Osaek Hot Springs gushes from a high ground (650m above sea level), and there is a legend that long ago, nymphs came here to bathe and returned to the heavens. The water temperature here is 42 degrees Celsius, and high in chloric acid, sulfur, manganese, and iron. It feels slippery and soft, and has a slight fishy smell, but it is so great for skincare that Osaek Hot springs is also called Miinoncheon (beauty hot springs). After the geological examination by Gangwon-do in 1982, it was officially designated as Osaekoncheonjigu (Osaek Hot Springs Area).

The name “Clayarch” is a compound word of clay and “arch”, which is an abbreviation of “architecture”. It embodies the basic spirit of the museum, which is to pursue development in the field of architectural ceramics through working with science, art, education, and industry. Clayarch Gimhae Museum aims to play a leading role in the development of architectural ceramics, which are now spreading across the globe. It intends to do so by rediscovering the relationship between ceramics and architecture – a matter that has been relatively ignored – as a new direction for ceramic art. This reflects the pluralism of this time, which seeks to pursue something creative and new and to overcome the limitations of specific fields through working with different genres. The museum seeks to actively lead this artistic attempt, and make aesthetic and scientific achievements in this field with theoretical backing gained through academic activities, lectures, and research.
