Chungcheongnam-do(Taean-gun)

Mageompo Beach in Nam-myeon, Taean-gun is located right before the bridge that leads to Anmyeondo Island. As the beach is not widely popular among tourists, one can spend a quiet and tranquil vacation here. Near the beach is a dense pine tree forest where one can enjoy camping. The white sand and shallow waters also make it a good place for kids to swim. In the evening, the beach is a great spot to watch the breathtaking sunset.This place is famous for silchi-hoe, a dish consisting of freshly sliced raw fish. The ocean near the beach is one of the biggest natural sources of such fresh seafood as anchovy, sand eel and short arm octopus.


Gyeonggi-do(Gapyeong-gun) , Namyangju

The source of Yongchu Falls, Mount Yeoninsan (연인산) stands at 1,068 meters above sea level and features soft terrain and beautiful scenery. Local folklore has it that those coming to the mountain wishing for true love will have their dreams come true. The soil of Mount Yeoninsan is fertile, offering a great natural environment for a variety of flowers and trees. Numerous types of wild flowers thrive from early spring to late autumn. The trail connecting Mount Yeoninsan with mounts Myeongjisan, Cheonggyesan, and Gwimokbong remains relatively unspoiled by human influence: cooking and camping in the area is strictly forbidden. All the mountains in the trail are over 1,000 meters high. A defining feature of Mount Yeoninsan is the royal azaleas that bloom in late May. The County of Gapyeong celebrates the royal azalea by hosting the Mount Yeoninsan (Natural Ecology) Festival in May of each year. Also ideal for hiking, Mount Yeoninsan offers a number of trails: one starts from Buk-myeon in Baekdun-ri, one from Mail-ri, and one from Yongchu Valley. With a minimum of climbing, hikers can take in a variety of scenic views, ranging from the bloom of the royal azaleas in the spring to the beauty of the changing leaves in the fall.


Chungcheongnam-do(Gongju-si)

Gongju National Museum is holding a Seollal·Daeboreum Tradition & Cultural Event so that visitors can celebrate Seollal and Daeboreum with their families at the museum.During the event, visitors can enjoy varied programs such as a jegichagi contest, new year's card making, folk games, and a samulnori performance.


Gangwon-do(Wonju-si)

Museum SAN (originally Hansol Museum), has its Welcome Center located in the vast abundance of nature, and is composed of three gardens within. From the Museum’s Welcome Center that is reminiscent of a huge fortress, visitors can walk through the the Flower Garden in full blossom, then to the Water Garden where a dazzling display of water reflecting the surroundings, and finally appreciate the Ando Tadao's Stone Garden featuring nine stone mounds inspired by ancient Silla tombs. The museum aims to rediscover the meaning and value of paper in the exhibition at the Paper Gallery, as well as a collection of artworks that reflects the development of Korean modern and contemporary art, which are presented in the Cheongjo Gallery. Last but not least, the Stone Garden is a space where visitors can view the unique exhibition of James Turrell’s main artworks – Sky Space, Horizon Room, Ganzfeld and Wedgework.


Daegu(Dalseong-gun)

Mt. Biseulsan stands at the edge of Cheongdo-gun and Dalseong-gun. It is not such a high mountain, but because of its scenic beauty and clean air, it’s an easy place to want to visit again. Mt. Biseulsan has long been known as a temple place, and according to the legends it’s to produce a thousand saints from its regions. Famous monk Il-Yeon (monk scholar of the Goryeo Period) apparently spent his 20s here, training for his career as a monk. At that time Il-Yeon spent his time in the Bodangam Building learning about various faiths and their scriptures, and it became a solid basis from which to write his famous Samgukyusa, a compilation of the history of the three kingdoms). The most beautiful aspect of Mt. Biseulsan is the Azaleas that blossom in the spring. Painted crimson red, the flowers harmonize perfectly with the complementary colors of the surrounding forest. All through the year, the pine forest fills the mountain, and the broad-leaf trees come alive in the fall in all their brilliant autumn colors in perfect harmony with the fantastic looking rocks of the mountain peaks. Large areas of the ridge tops become covered with purple eulalias, and it provides a majestic view for the fall mountain climbers.


Gyeonggi-do(Hwaseong-si)

Dongtan Lake Park is a well-being space within the city with large grass field, picnic area, phytoncide forest and more along the lake. There are walking trails along the container bridge, various customized benches, and beautiful landscape to enjoy. Other facilities include sports facilities, water playground, and a large water fountain with a fountain show.


Jeollanam-do(Suncheon-si)

Suncheon Wild Tea house is a tea experience house as well as a well-being house. It sits in a beautiful forest located on the road to a thousand-year-old Sunamsa Temple, which is located at the skirt of Jogyesan Mountain that is in harmony with the sky, wind, water and the forest. Visitors can experience the beauty and the composure of a traditional Korean style house, delicate flavor and scent of tea while they are surrounded by pine tree scent and the atmosphere of the old times. Available programs are Darye (manners of tea drinking) experience, tea making, tea cookie tasting and education on tea ceremony. Also, mountain meditation, tea tasting, flower pancake making, exhibitions and small music concerts are available. Many families visit here for the tea experience and also for the traditional Korean house overnight stay.  


Chungcheongbuk-do(Yeongdong-gun)

Nangye Korean Classical Music Museum in Yeongdong, Chungcheongbuk-do was built to preserve and build upon the musical achievements and artistic spirit of Nangye Park Yeon, one of the three master musicians of traditional Korean music during the Joseon Dynasty, and to enhance public awareness of traditional Korean music. The Nangye Korean Classical Instruments Production Village produces high-quality Korean classical instruments in cooperation with Yeongdong-gun and a professional Korean classical instrument manufacturer to foster awareness that Yeongdong is truly home to traditional Korean music.


Gangwon-do(Yeongwol-gun)

Seonam Village (선암마을) is a small town located on the banks of the Seogang River in Ongjeong-ri, Seo-myeon, Yeongwol-gun, Gangwon-do province. The village is famous for its land formation that is shaped like the Korean Peninsula, due to the river snaking around the village forming an outline in the shape of the peninsula. In the summer, many people come to enjoy rafting from the "East Coast" to the "West Coast" of the peninsula-like cliff formation, with Homigot (호미곶) in the south and Baekdusan Mountain in the North.


Jeollanam-do(Wando-gun)

Designated as the first Slow City in Asia, Cheongsando in Wando-gun hosts the annual Cheongsando Slow Walk Festival. The festival is held every April, which is the best time of the year to enjoy the canola blossoms and barley with the sea in the background. During the festival, visitors can participate in various cultural events and exhibitions, and enjoy the spring scenery.
