Hotel International

Hotel International opened in 1989 in Changwon-si, and was renovated in 1997. It is home to the largest convention hall in Gyeongsangnam-do Province. In addition to 131 Western-style and 8 Korean-style guestrooms, Hotel International has multiple restaurants, a business center, a fitness center, an arcade and a sauna.

Suaedang House

This hanok was built by Ryu Jin-geol, also known by his pen name Suae, in 1939. It is located beside the head household of the Sugok Clan who were part of the Jeonju Ryu family. When you enter the lofty, 5-kan*-high gate, you will find 3 buildings that measure 29 kans in total. Suaedang House has a gabled-roof, and is composed of a 7-by-2-kan residential area, and a 10-kan shed, which are situated together in a ㄱ-shape. The hanok was used as an ancestral memorial hall, and later designated as the 56th Cultural Relic of Gyeongsangbuk-do. It has been well preserved, as it was built with sturdy pine usually found in the Chunyang region. The patterns on the lattice doors have peculiar shapes, and the house as a whole faithfully embodies the architectural technique of the late Joseon Dynasty. Museum San

Museum SAN (originally Hansol Museum), has its Welcome Center located in the vast abundance of nature, and is composed of three gardens within. From the Museum’s Welcome Center that is reminiscent of a huge fortress, visitors can walk through the the Flower Garden in full blossom, then to the Water Garden where a dazzling display of water reflecting the surroundings, and finally appreciate the Ando Tadao's Stone Garden featuring nine stone mounds inspired by ancient Silla tombs. The museum aims to rediscover the meaning and value of paper in the exhibition at the Paper Gallery, as well as a collection of artworks that reflects the development of Korean modern and contemporary art, which are presented in the Cheongjo Gallery. Last but not least, the Stone Garden is a space where visitors can view the unique exhibition of James Turrell’s main artworks – Sky Space, Horizon Room, Ganzfeld and Wedgework.

Naerincheon Stream Rafting

Training for rafting provides participants with an opportunity to gain self-confidence, learn to cooperate with their teammates, and relieve stress.Naerincheon Stream in particular is considered one of the top three rafting spots in Korea along with the Hantangang River and Donggang River. Consisting of over ten rapid sub-streams, Naerincheon is the only stream in Korea that runs from south to north.The stream stretches over 6km from Wondaegyo to Gosari Resting Spot; its narrow x_width and pointed rocks offer one of the most exciting and challenging rafting experiences. Rafts are often turned upside down, and each sub-stream is connected to the others, offering little time for rafters to make each maneuver.Naerincheon Stream Rafting is also known for its excellent amenities, like its modern shower facilities with warm water.

Pyochungsa Temple

Pyochungsa Temple is located at the base of Jaeyaksan Mountain, 20 kilometers away to the east of Miryang-si. The temple was built in the fourth year of King Heungdeok’s reign of the Silla Kingdom (829). It was named as ‘Pyochungsa’ to praise Samyeongdang Yujeong (aka Monk Songun Daesa) who played an important role in the peace envoy during the invasion of Japan. There are the Cheungcheung Falls, Geumgang Falls an icy stream nearby, as well as Sajapyeong field at the ridge of the mountain.
