Every year when the sea parts to reveal a path betwen Modo Island and Jindo Island, the Yeongdeungje ritual is held to wish for a good catch and blessings. It is also a local tradition for people from Jindo and Modo to meet on the sea path to catch clams, seaweed, and octopus. Hyo Culture Ppuri Festival

Dajeon Family Culture festival takes place for three days in mid-May every year, in an area around Ppuri Park in Jung-gu, Daejeon, where filial piety has been highly respected. The festival features hands-on experience programs and events reflecting traditional family culture and filial piety. Four traditional ceremonies (coming of age, wedding, funeral, ancestral rites) will be demonstrated. A parade of 136 clans will take place, and an exhibition will display unique clan traditions and stories about each clan. Performances by collage traditional performance teams, a fusion music festival, and street food markets will also be held.

Baegunsan Mountain
Jeollanam-do(Gwangyang-si)

Baegunsan Mountain (1,218m) is believed to hold three diving spirits: phoenix, fox, and boar. Part of the Baekdudaegan mountain range, Baegunsan borders Seomjingang River to the north and Jirisan Mountain to the south, and has four major valleys - Seongbul, Donggok, Eochi, and Geumcheon - with clear waters and lush forests. The forest in the mid-section of the mountain is home to around 900 rare plant species. In fact, Baegunsan houses the largest variety of plant species only after Hallasan Mountain.
