Jirisan View Castle Pension - Goodstay
Gyeongsangnam-do(Sancheong-gun)

Nestled at the foot of Jirisan Mountain in Sancheong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, Jirisan View Castle Pension is surrounded by mountains, offering a peaceful and quiet retreat. The pension has two kinds of accommodations: a resort-style luxury pension and a log cabin for families.Guest rooms range from two-person rooms to family rooms and group rooms. The cabins have floor-to-ceiling glass installed in front. Big groups and company outings can take advantage of the outdoor facilities including a barbeque area and a volleyball field. Not only will visitors be able to see Cheonwangbong Peak from the pension, but they can also walk along the Jirisan Mountain ridges or go hiking to Cheonwangbong Peak. Beopgyesa Temple (법계사), Daewonsa Temple (대원사) and Jungsan Natural Recreation Forest (중산자연휴양림) are also nearby.

Seonyudong Valley
Chungcheongbuk-do(Goesan-gun)

Seonyudong Gyegok Valley is located in Goesan-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do Province. Includes Seonyudongmun, the playground for the mountain gods, a total of nine valleys forms the area: Gyeongcheonbyeok, Haksoam , Yeondallo, Waryongpok, Nangadae, Gigugam, Guam, and Eunseonam.Seonnyudongmun Gyegok Valley is famous for the legend that mountain gods came to savor fresh mountain spring water. A renowned geographical account, Taekriji, published in 1751, stated that Seonyudong Gyegok Valley boasted some of the best scenery. One of the most eminent Confucian scholars of the Joseon Dynasty, Lee Hwang spent nine months in this beautiful valley. He gave names to all his favorite places, which still remain to this day.

Ganghwa Seoksumun Gate
Incheon(Ganghwa-gun)

Seoksumun is a floodgate on the Dongnakcheon Stream, which flows through the town of Ganghwa-eup. The floodgate was built in 1711 (37th year of King Sukjong’s reign during the Joseon Period) and it is connected to the inner walls of the Ganghwasanseong Fortress. It is an arched structure with a design of three rainbows coming together. Made of granite, the floodgate measures 18.2 meters in length and 2.7 meters in x_height, while the arches are 1.7 meters tall, and 3 meters wide.

Gosalli Forest Trail (고살리 숲길)
Jeju-do(Seogwipo-si) , Seogwipo

The Gosalli Forest Trail runs along a stream in Harye 2-ri, Namwon-eup on the southern part of Jeju Island. The area was recognized by the Ministry of Environment in 2013 for their outstanding efforts in preserving and protecting the local ecology. The forest trail passes through one of Jeju's beautiful forested areas, and is perfect for peaceful leisure walks, being less known among tourists. To limit the amount of damage to the natural environment, the trails are unrefined, so guests are reminded to tread carefully.

Sambong Recreational Forest
Gangwon-do(Hongcheon-gun)

Located in Odaesan National Park, Sambong Recreational Forest (삼봉자연휴양림) is filled with large acicular trees like fir and broad-leaved trees like birch. Lenoks, a species of fresh-water fish that are considered a Korean natural treasure, found only in the cleanest water, thrive in the waters of the deep valley running through the park. The park is surrounded by three peaks – Gachilbong (1,240m), Mt. Eungboksan (1,155m), and Sasambong (1,107m). In the middle of the area surrounded by the three peaks, rests the Sambong Mineral Spring (삼봉약수), whose waters attract many visitors. The spring’s waters are said to ease stomach complaints. The park is also popular since visitors can go leaf peeking in autumn while enjoying the mountains and sea at the same time in summer.

Daegae Wonjo Village
Gyeongsangbuk-do(Yeongdeok-gun)

This village, located in Yeongdeok, Gyeongsangbuk-do, is called ‘Daege Wonjo Village’ (대게원조마을) because the legs of the snow crabs caught in the Donghae Sea (East Sea, 동해) are shaped like bamboo. Since people visited this village in wagons during the Goryeo period, it was called ‘Chayu Village.’ But recently, it has been renamed ‘Yeongdeok Daege Wonjo Village’ and a local monument has been established. The nearby Gyeongjeong Breakwater is famous among anglers.

Tethys Pension - Goodstay
