Sangnam International House

Ever since its opening on October 10 1998, Busan Sangnam International House has served as a major venue for local and international academic exchange at the Pusan National University. It was named after the former chairman of the LG Group former chairman, Gu Ja kyung (penname ‘Sangnam’) who invested 3 billion won in the construction of the building in 1994. The building (B1-8F) occupies an impressive 7,012 square meters and has a large main conference room, several banquet halls, and mid and small-sized meeting rooms for local and international academic events. Seongmoam Hermitage
Jeollabuk-do(Gimje-si)

Seongmoam, a temple of the Jogye Order, is located on Yuangsan Mountain in Mangyeong-myeon, Gimje-si. The temple is the final resting place of the mother of Jinmuk Daesa, a great Buddhist monk from the Jeonbuk region. Jinmuk believed that a person’s love and respect for Buddha is not that much different from the love and respect one has for his or her parents. As an expression of this philosophy, Jinmuk had his mother’s remains enshrined at the temple after she died at Mujasoncheonnyeonhyanghwajiji. A neat little line of stone lamps leads visitors up from the parking lot to the temple grounds, revealing the well-attended grave of Jinmuk Daesa’s mother to the left. The temple is very unique in that it is the only one to house a caretaker’s office (Gosiraejoen Hall) that is responsible for maintaining the grave site. It is said that prayers made to Seongmo (the holy mother) while visiting the temple will come true. Throughout the entire year, throngs of people journey to the temple to pay their respects and earnestly ask the holy mother to grant them their deepest desires.

Non-verbal Performance FIREMAN

"Fireman" is a non-verbal performance that portrays the growth and development of silly and carefree trainees into courageous and trustworthy firefighters. The stage will grab the attention of the audience with acrobatic techniques, parkour, and b-boying movements. International audience can enjoy the show without any language barrier as the performance is non-verbal, meaning the play is carried out using only body movements and facial expressions to deliver the story. Since its first stage in 2015, the act went on an international tour and won the Grand Prize in Popular Culture category during the Korea Hallyu Awards in 2016.
