The Gangneung Full Moon Holiday is a true reenactment of the ancient full moon ritual. Based on the local folk culture, the event represents the true essence of full moon festivals.


Chungcheongnam-do(Nonsan-si)

In celebration of the Jeongwol Daeboreum holiday held during the largest full moon of the year, Nonsan Jeongwol Daeboreum Festival is held to host annual rituals and provide a place for families to spend time together. The festival’s activities also include juldarigi (tug of war) in Nonsan-si, jegichagi (Korean hacky sack), a kite-flying contest for families to paint the sky, writing a family motto, neolttwigi (Korean seesawing jumping), rolling a hoop, paengichigi (top spinning), and other folk game activities.

Gyeongsangnam-do(Goseong-gun)

Located in Goseong, Gyeongnam, Danghangpo Tourist Site Pension is directly operated by the Tourist Site Office of Gosang, Gyeongnam and has impressive white wooden building. The pension has total 3 buildings and 8 rooms and the rooms are available with Ondol and bed. Rooms are wide and well organized for comfortable stay and wireless Internet service is provided. Auto camping ground is run together with the pension, and the Dinosaur Expo Event Hall and other convenient facilities are connected for convenient use. Also, free admission to Danghangpo Tourist Site is available to the pension guests.


Gangwon-do(Jeongseon-gun)

Hambaeksan Mountain is the highest mountain on the Baekdudaegan Range that is accessible by car. Additionally, the area is a major coal reserve site and the industrial train Taebaek Line passes over the northern part of the mountain. Built by Monk Jajang Yulsa during the 5th year of the Great Queen Seondeok Period, Jeongamsa Temple is close to a natural habitat of Manchurian trout, designated as Natural Monument No. 73 and has a seven-story stone brick pagoda, designated as Natural Treasure No. 410. Roads from Manhangjae Hill and Dumundongjae Hill to the top of the mountain have picturesque views. A range of wild flowers bloom every season in the area, creating beautiful scenery. Gohan Hambaeksan Wildflower Festival takes place throughout Hambaeksan Mountain, Manhangjae Hill and Dumundongjae Hill.


Jeollanam-do(Jindo-gun)

Located in Jindo-gun (Jeollanam-do), Jangjeon Art Museum (Formerly, Namjin Art Museum) was founded by a calligrapher named Ha Nam Ho in 2003. It is a three-story building with five exhibit halls that display various genres of art such as Korean paintings, Western paintings, calligraphy and sculpture. Over 350 pieces of work are on display, all of which are part of the collection of founder Ha Nam Ho. The artwork includes creations by deceased artists, veteran artists, and modern artists and includes Goryeo celadon, Joseon porcelain and much more. The name “Namjin” is made up of the founder’s middle name “Nam” and his wife’s name “Jin.” The little hill next to the museum is thick with pine trees, and the clear water in the nearby valleys adds to the peaceful museum atmosphere. The museum is closed on Mondays; Opening hours are from 10am to 6pm.

All of the 13 guest rooms at Another Beach come with a stunning ocean view. The rooms also have a private balcony where you can step outside on. It has recently undergone remodeling, so the indoor facilities are clean and the bedding is as clean as what is provided by hotels. The rooms are divided into six types, including Suite Royal Ondol, Suite Ondol, Deluxe, Suite Bed, Suite Two-Story Ondol, and Suit Two-Story Bed. The interior design is slightly differently depending on the room type (e.g. whether the room comes with a bed or has a two-story structure). According to the room size, they are divided into two types, couple room for two people and family room for four people. All of the rooms have a studio structure with a bathroom and a self-contained kitchen each. The rooms are fully equipped with refrigerators, kitchen appliances, electronic rice cookers, microwaves, electric stoves, and so on. Most of all, Another Beach offers a range of guest facilities. Only one meter away from the pension is a private beach that can only be accessed by the pension guests. You can also use the rubber boots, hoe, and basket available in the pension to catch clam and conch. On one side of the front lawn, there is an outdoor swimming pool and a barbecue area. They are right in front of the sea, and have the atmosphere of a tropical holiday destination. There are indoor and outdoor inflatable bounce houses and trampolines for kids to play. The pension also rents out baby cars, pool table, table soccer game, board games and bicycles. There is also a convenience store inside the pension. Tourist attractions near the pension include Mageompo Beach, which is only a one-minute walk way, Anmyeondo Jurassic Museum, a museum themed on dinosaurs that is three minutes away by car, and Light Festival Site decorated with two million LED lights. You can also enjoy fresh seafood from Anmyeondo Island at Baeksajanghang Port which is 10 minutes from the pension by car.
