Sunshine Motel - Goodstay

Sunshine, which commands a fine view of the sea, is located in front of Pyeonghwa Plaza in the new town of Mokpo, Jeollanam-do, which is the center of marine tourism in the southwest coastal region. Mokpo Terminal and Mokpo Station are accessible from the hotel within five minutes by car, and the ferry terminal is also situated nearby. There is a ‘dancing sea fountain show’ at Pyeonghwa Plaza (located in front of the hotel) every day, while Gatbawi Culture Town, which consists of several museums and a park, offers diverse attractions and relaxation. There are other nearby tourist attractions including Samhakdo Island and Yudalsan Mountain. Visitors to the area are also recommended to try some of Mokpo’s famous foods - such as hongeo samhap (fermented skate and steamed pork slices served with kimchi), octopus, and sliced raw croaker.

Gayadong Valley
Gangwon-do(Inje-gun)

Located in the deepest part of the Seoraksan Mountains, Gayadong Valley is a smaller valley compared to others in the region, with quiet streams. The walkway to Gayadong Valley starts from the path behind the Suryeomdong shelter. Walk up for 30 minutes and you will find the water flowing from Ose Waterfall. In front of it are the 40m high cliffs called the Cheonwang Gates, which are regarded as the gates of Gayadong. Past Cheonwang Gates is the Cheonwang Waterfall, and one kilometer up from this waterfall is Waryongyeon. Above Waryongyeon is the Neoreok Rock. If you walk further up there is a crossway. The old path to Oseam is on the left and the path to Bongjeongam, these days called Tapgol, is on the right. If you want to see the whole landscape, stop by at Mangyeongdae on the way to Oseam, and if you keep going up you will soon reach Muneomi Ridge. At Muneomi Ridge the path is divided into two of which one leads to Bongyrong Ridgeline and the other to Cheonbuldong Valley. If you want to climb to Daecheong Peak of Mt. Seoraksan, walk past the Huiungak shelter in the Socheong Peak and Jungcheong Peak direction. The Gayadong Valley has convenient paths, but there are no signs, and no iron ladders prepared yet. So compared to Cheonbuldong Valley where numerous people go hiking, you will prefer the mountain landscape in the serene atmosphere.

Ganggyeong Oknyeobong Park

Oknyeobong Peak is one of the eight scenic views of Nonsan and offers a great overview of the Geumgang River as it flows through the Ganggyeong district. Continuing out into the distance, views of Nonsan and Iksan can be seen, bringing to mind a traditional painting of a mountain and river. The scenery is so beautiful that there is a myth of mountain gods coming down to play and bathe during the full moon. The signal-fire tower at the peak was built to receieve signals from the tower on Gwangduwonsan Mountain in Iksan, and passes the message along to Noseong signal-fire tower. The park is also in the area of the nation's earliest Baptist church, making it famous for people on a pilgrimage to sacred places.

Nadeul Hanok was opened in 2018 with brand-new facilities, in a location just a minute’s walk from Cheomseongdae Observatory in Gyeongju. You can feel a sense of healing in nature in the traditional style house, built in environment-friendly construction method with wood and earth. The ‘ㄷ’-shaped building creates a snug atmosphere and the hipped-and-gable roof and the curves of the roof tile show the traditional quiet and still flavor of a traditional Korean house. There are 7 rooms in Nadeul Hanok. Among them, the Garam, Gayeon, and Nuri Rooms are offered at 50,000 won for 2 persons during off-season so that visitors can enjoy staying in a traditional Korean house at more affordable prices. All rooms are equipped with a bathroom for better convenience and there is an individual thermostat all year round. Complimentary breakfast made of healthy convenience food is offered to all guests. The menu is composed of barley bread, fruit, coffee, juice, boiled egg, and biscuit, and is subject to change according to situation. What is good is that the breakfast can be delivered to the room if the delivery time is requested during breakfast time, which is from 8 to 9 AM. It is possible to look around the tourist attractions near Nadeul Hanok on foot. In addition, there are CVs, fast food shops, bike rental shops, and hanbok rental shops adjacent to Nadeul Hanok, enabling a more convenient and joyful tour.
