Gyeongsangbuk-do(Yeongju-si)

The Yeongju Hotel is located in Yeongju City, formerly the cultural center of the Seonbi, ‘virtuous scholars’ of the Joseon Dynasty who were dedicated to learning and courtesy. Wonjohalmae Nakji (Grandma's Original Octopus) is a local restaurant specializing in food cooked with fresh shrimp and small octopus purchased every day at dawn at the local Samcheonpo Port. It is prepared with other various ingredients, such as garlic, sesame oil, red pepper powder, and other spices. It is a delicious food with an appetizing reddish hue.


Gangwon-do(Pyeongchang-gun)

Gyeonggi-do(Icheon-si)

Seolbongsan Mountain (설봉산, 394 m) dominates the western portion of Icheon City. It has also been called Bugaksan Mountain and Muhaksan Mountain since the mountain resembles a crane with its wings spread open. Although the mountain is not rugged and maintains a well kept walking trail, it has many intriguing rock formations. There are as many as eight natural springs from which clear water gushes, and there are also Buddhist temples and relics scattered across the mountain. There are other attractions to see and enjoy as well, such as Seolbong Park, which was established at the opening of the World Ceramic Exhibition, as well as the municipal museum.


Ulsan(Dong-gu)

At the x_height of 63 meters on top of Hwajeongsan Mountain (alt. 203 meters), Ulsandaegyo Observatory has a breathtaking view of city's three major industy as well as a panoramic view of the city. The view from both day and night are amazing to see, making vistors go more than once. Within the observatory there are local specialty gift shop, cafe and more for visitors to see and enjoy.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Yeongju-si)

Birosa is a temple located at the southern foot of Birobong, the highest peak of Sobaeksan Mountain. It was founded by revered Buddhist monk Uisang Daesa in the 20th year of King Munmu’s reign (680 A.D.) during the Silla Kingdom. The temple’s Buddha statue and the flagpole supports reveal the long history of this ancient temple. To the left of the entrance to Birosa Temple stand a pair of flagpole supports that are official called Yeongju Samgadong Dangganjiju. The 4.8 meter-high flagpole supports facing each other have a meticulous structure. Inside the temple precincts is Jingongdaesa Bobeoptapbi, a stele with a stone turtle base erected in honor of the great monk Jingong Daesa. The temple enshrines the Amitabha and Vairocana Buddha statues, which were created during the Silla Kingdom in the late 9th century. Both of these Buddha statues realistically depict the human form, and show similar characteristics, which reveal that they were crafted by the same artisan. Chungcheongbuk-do(Danyang-gun)

Soseonam Natural Forest (소선암자연휴양림) is located in Chungbuk Dannyang and is replete with flowing streams, verdant landscape and many historic landmarks. Gyeongsangbuk-do(Pohang-si)

Pohang Canal, completed in January 2014, cuts between Pohang's Songdo-dong and Jungdo 1-dong, connecting the waters under Dongbindaegyo Bridge with Hyeongsangang River to the south. The canal has a total length of 1.3km, adding on to the 8~10 km long seafaring road of Pohang. The canal is a restoration of an old water path, and the citizens have welcomed the eco-friendly construction as a community park. Many people enjoy walking along the canal or the romantic experience of riding on a cruise ship through the canal.
