The Daegu Yangnyeongsi (medicine market) is a major herbal medicine market specializing in the practices of Oriental medicine that dates all the way back to the Joseon Dynasty. During the era of the Joseon Dynasty, the Daegu Yangnyeongsi was at the center of the herbal medicine world, providing Oriental medicine to travelers from all around the world including Japan, China, Russia, Manchuria and many other countries. To this day, the Daegu Yangnyeongsi still flows with herb farmers, collectors, sellers, and buyers operating over 50 herbal medicine stores and 25 herbal clinics with 85 herbal medicine doctors, and 20 ginseng stores. The market is also known to be the first wholesale medicine market in Korea. The exhibition hall located on the 2nd floor of the wholesale market offers baskets used to collect herbs, ‘yakjanggi’ to store herbs, scales to measure the weight of the herbs, and old books on herbal medicine. The Medicine Festival is held every year in May and boasts a wide variety of fun-filled events like traditional folk music programs, an herb exhibition, and herb-cutting competitions.

Daegu Safety Theme Park was established in the wake of the Daegu Subway Station tragedy (February 18, 2003), wherein an arsonist set fire to a train stopped at the subway station, resulting in large casualties. Its main goal is to provide citizens with education on safety measures in an emergency. Almost all visitors are required to attend a brief orientation on safety measures, and may exercise them during the simulated accidents set up at the experience stations. All of the facilities throughout the park, including the exhibition halls and the safety education theater, convey the message of safety.

Just when the clock strikes noon and the three musketeers and D’Artganon are starting their duel, men in red cape, the Cardinal’s guards, appear from nowhere.. D’Artagnon joins hands with the three musketeers and fights the guards, and they win victory. Celebrating the victory in a drunken feast, D’Artagnon meets and falls in love with the angel-like woman of his dreams: Constance. Just when the feast is just getting heated up, a sharp scream is heard and Constance is missing. When D’Artagnon and the three musketeers find out that the kidnapper is Milady, an agent of Cardinal Richelieu, they join forces to reveal Cardinal Richelieu’s plot. Visitors can learn the history of kimchi as well as learn and get a taste of the different types of kimchi. Audio guides in English, Japanese, and Chinese are available for international visitors and a guided tour of the museum by a docent is also available at designated times.
