Daejeon(Yuseong-gu)

The Korean restaurant Manna is the only ‘restaurant corporation’ in Korea and is located in Daejeon Yuseong-gu in the central region of Korea. Manna serves groups of all sizes (whether it be just you and your family or a large company gathering). Besides the Yuseong main restaurant, the corporation also operates branches in Daejeon, Cheongju, Songchon, Yongam, Dunsan, Daeheung, Time World, and Mannyeon.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Andong-si)

On the other side of the subsidiary dam of Andong Dam, thatched houses will be sparsely seen on the hilltop. The area is the folk scene site where an outdoor museum is built. At the entrance of the outdoor museum two jangseungs (Korean traditional totem poles) are set, followed by a monument inscribed with the poem of famous Andong poet and democracy activist, Lee Yuk-sa. On the monument, his noted works “Gwangya” (Wild Plain) is carved. Near the Dam, are the Andong Folk Village, Andong Museum, Lee Yuk-sa Monument, a filming site of “Taejo Wanggeon,” and Andongho Lake.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Andong-si)

Known as a popular fishing spot and recreation site, Andongho Lake is an man-made lake created by obstructing the upper stream of the Nakdonggang River, as part of the government’s Four Major Rivers Restoration Project. Andong Dam is the second largest dam in Korea, following Soyanggang Dam. The x_height of the dam is 83 meters and the length is 612 meters. The landscape surrounding Andongho Lake is nothing short of magnificent. There is a dock for the boats on the lake, which is also popular as a fishing destination. Bass caught here are especially strong and tasty. An international bass fishing tournament is held here every year. There are also tourist attractions nearby, such as the Dosanseowon Confucian Academy and Andong Hahoe Folk Village. Andongho Lake is known for its incomparable scenery, and is considered one of the most famous tourist sites in the Hoban Region. The nearest tourist sites include Dosanseowon Confucian Academy, Seokbinggo (Stone Ice Storage). There are plenty of other sites to visit as well, such as Andong Folk Village and its museum, where the historical Korean drama "Taejo Wang Geon" was filmed. Unfortunately, during the construction of Andong Dam, part of the village was submerged due to displaced water. The folk cultural properties there were safely moved to a nearby area by the auxiliary dam of Andong and turned into an open-air museum of folk culture.


Gyeonggi-do(Namyangju-si) , Namyangju

Opened in 1995, Chungnyeongsan Mountain Natural Recreation Forest is located at Oebang-ri, Sudong-myeon, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, around 1 hour from Seoul. The recreation forest has various trekking courses leading to Chungnyeongsan Mountain and Seorisan Mountain and facilities like the forest park, training facility, water play site, nature observation sites, camping sites, and more.


Jeollanam-do(Suncheon-si)

The Suncheon Bay Garden was established in order to turn 1.12 square kilometers of natural habitat into a conservation area, where it houses over 505 species of trees and 113 species of flowers. Especially, the numerous groups of tulips and royal azaleas are truly a sight to see. In addition, the nearby 30,000-square-meter field of canola flowers is in full bloom in May, which creates a beautiful yellow "wave" of color and trees make a great shades of canopy for the area. Getting there is fairly easy as buses and an unmanned shuttle train (PRT) opened along with the Suncheon Bay Garden and Suncheon Literature Center district (4.64 km) are available for service. Visitors can hop on the PRT and go to the literature center, then also ride the train along the 1.2-kilometer stretch of reeds to Mujingyo Bridge.


Chungcheongnam-do(Boryeong-si)

The Boryeong Mud Skincare Center in Daecheon Beach in Boryeong, Chungcheongnam-do houses a men’s center on the 1st floor and a women’s center and advertisement booth on the 2nd floor. As Korea’s only mud center, it offers a variety of fun and exciting, hands-on mud programs. Since it is located in front of Daecheon Beach, a dip in the sea can be enjoyed any time. Boryeong Mud Skincare Center also features various hands-on activities and facilities. The Boryeong Mud Festival is held every July.


Busan(Geumjeong-gu)

Jagalchi Market is the largest seafood market in Korea and one of Busan’s most well-known tourist attractions. The festival takes place every autumn and its slogan is “Oiso! Boiso! Saiso! (“Come! See! Buy!” in the Busan accent)”. The huge size and bustling, lively atmosphere makes a visit to Jagalchi Market a unique experience for many visitors. Small food stalls serve fresh inshore hagfish grilled on briquette fires along with other unusual sea creatures and sashimi-sliced fish at market prices.

Gijang Market is an outdoor market selling various products including fishery and agricultural products. It features seasonal fishery products. Seaweed and anchovy are available in spring, while cutlass fish is famous in autumn. The cutlass fish sold during the two months before and after Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving) are known across the country for their extraordinary taste. Reasonable prices attract customers to this market, because prices here are even lower than that of the Korea’s largest seafood market, Jagalchi Market.
