Ansan Street Arts Festival
Gyeonggi-do(Ansan-si)

Ansan Street Arts Festival, Korea’s largest street arts festival, will be held at Ansan Culture Square in Ansan. This festival is considered one of the top ten festivals held in Gyeonggi-do as well as a representative festival of Ansan-si, featuring various street performances. Invited performances from local and overseas, individual performers and other performances are prepared as well as other special programs.

Chungju World Martial Arts Festival
Chungcheongbuk-do(Chungju-si)

This festival showcases all of the world’s martial arts forms, as well as Korea’s traditional martial arts. This festival opens with the theme 'World's Martial Arts and Culture', showcasing demonstrations of Taekkyeon, Taekwondo, and Hapkido by Korea’s traditional martial arts groups. Martial artists from 16 nations have been invited to the festival, and will be taking part in demonstrations and performances. Programs have been prepared for non-Korean speakers and visitors will get a chance to try out many of the martial arts on display.

Arirang Literature Museum
Jeollabuk-do(Gimje-si)

Located in Gimje-si, Jeollabuk-do, Arirang Literature Museum (Jo Jung-rae Arirang Literature Museum) was opened in May, 2003. The museum displays materials related to Jo Jung-rae’s novel, ‘Arirang,’ which shows the history of Gimje. His handwritten manuscripts for Arirang are displayed on the first floor, and the author's notes, a pocket notebook, and daily items are on display in Exhibition Hall No. 2. In addition, No. 3 Exhibition Hall shows Jo Jung-rae's humanity. The memorial stone of Arirang Literature is located in Byeokgolje.

Daemyung Sol Beach Hotel & Resort

Baengma High Ground Battlefield
Gangwon-do(Cheorwon-gun)

Located in the northern area of South Korea, Baengma Battlefield was one of the bloodiest battlefields during the Korean War. The communist Chinese army launched a major offensive attack for 10 days on October 6, 1952 during the Battle of Baengmagoji (Baengma; White horse). Due to this battle, the communist Chinese army suffered around 14,000 casualties and the army completely collapsed while the 9th Infantry Division won the battle of the Baengma High Ground and got the name “White Horse.” After the battle the area gave off a bad smell because of the dead bodies. The mountain area lost its original shape due to the severe battle and as a result the area was named “Baengmagoji” as it was said to resemble a white horse (Baengma) lying down.

Hangaone
Gyeonggi-do(Pocheon-si) , Pocheon

Situated in Pocheon (Gyeonggi-do), the Hangaone facility consists of the Hangwa Culture Museum and the Hangwa Cultural Education Center. Visitors can tour the museum and participate in making Hangwa (traditional Korean confectionery). After the experience program, visitors can even taste hangwa, along with a selection of traditional teas.The Hangwa Culture Museum is the first museum in Korea to have a theme centered on traditional Korean sweets. Its first floor exhibits the history of hangwa, tools used to make it, and the various types (Yakgwa, Yugwa, Yumilgwa, Jeongwa, Dasik, and Gangjeong), while the second floor offers seasonal hangwa, hangwa with tea, hangwa areas in Pocheon, information from hangwa experts, and tourism information on Pocheon. The education center runs colorful hands-on programs offering visitors an opportunity to make hangwa and also learn about traditional tea culture.

Hwajinpo Beach

The deep blue ocean of Hwajinpo Beach invites an endless trail of visitors to the area where you can also find other attractions such as the magnificent Hwajinpoho Lagoon, historical summer villas and a refreshing pine tree forest.Hwajinpo Beach is originally known for its beautiful 1.7-km long shoreline, preserved with shallow yet clean water and fine sand. The spectacular view of sunset is another reason many visit this place.If you move inland from the beach you will find Hwajinpoho Lagoon. This is one of the most beautiful lagoons you will find in Korea, with its graceful scenery, surrounded by a forest of pine trees and a field of sweet briers. The lagoon presents a renewed sense of appreciation for nature. The name Hwajinpo, in fact, originated from the numerous sweet briers blooming in the region.If you head down south a bit from the beach, you will also find a few villas in the midst of the woods. They once belonged to historical figures such as North Korean dictator Kim Il-Seong and Korea's first president Yi Seung-Man. Some of these historical villas have been restored to attract many visitors.

Yongdusan Jagalchi Special Tourist Zone
Busan(Jung-gu)

Yongdusan Jagalchi Special Tourist Zone covers the area around Gwangbok-dong in Busan, which includes Yongdusan Park and the well-known traditional markets such as Jagalchi Market, Gukje Market and Bupyeong Market, which are filled with life and energy. Gwangbok-dong area is always crowded with young tourists as well as young locals enjoying the vibrant shopping street and affordable street food. At Yongdusan Park, visitors can enjoy a panoramic sight of Busan, and the night view from the park should not be missed. There is an escalator to take visitors up to Yongdusan Park. Jagalchi Market and Gukje Market retain some traces of what Busan used to be like in the 1970s and 1980s, and that is why these markets are popular among the middle-aged as well as young people. There are a lot of marine products and food to eat. In particular, Gomjangeo (inshore hagfish) street in Jagalchi Market is well known, along with the restaurants that serve the grilled fish at affordable prices. The Busan International Film Festival and the Busan Jagalchi Festival take place in the autumn. There are dozens of secondhand bookstores in Bosu-dong Book Alley where people can freely purchase, sell, read or browse secondhand books. Apart from Jagalchi Market and Film Street, the area around Nampo-dong, together with Haeundae Special Tourist Zone, is famous for holding the Busan International Film Festival. On the Food Street, which spans from Film Street to Gukje Market via Arirang Street, are street vendors selling food such as ssiat hotteok (seed-stuffed Korean-style pancake), bibim dangmyeon (spicy sweet potato noodles) and patbingsu (shaved ice with sweetened red beans). There are also restaurants serving jokbal (steamed pig trotters,) dwaejigalbi (grilled spareribs) and gopchang (grilled beef or pork intestine). It is the perfect place for visitors to enjoy unique Korean food. Tangeumdae Terrace & Park
Chungcheongbuk-do(Chungju-si)

Located in Chilgeum-dong, Chungju, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, Tangeumdae Terrace is a historically significant place that was designated as Scenic Spot No. 42. The place was named Tangeumdae because it was where Ureuk, the celebrated musician of the Silla Dynasty (BC 57-AD 935), used to played the gayageum (traditional stringed instrument). During the Imjin War (Japanese invasion, 1592-1598), Tangeumdae Terrace was also the battlefield where General Shin Rip and his troops fought fierce battles against the invading forces. This is why a monument for the fallen heroes was built at this site. The area is widely known as Tangeum Pak as there are various other attractions around the area such as a monument honoring the patriotic spirit of General Shin Rip, an outdoor music hall, sculptures, grass fields, etc.
