Jeju-do(Jeju-si) , The Eastern Part of the Jeju Island

Designated as a natural monument, Bijarim Forest is a group of about 2,800 nutmeg trees between 500 and 800 years old. They are 7-14m in x_height and 50-110cm in diameter. This is the largest nutmeg tree forest in the world. In the middle of the forest is an 800-year-old tree, called ‘Ancestor tree of the Bija trees.' The tree is the oldest tree on Jeju-do with a x_height of 25 meters and girth of 6 meters.The trees emit a lot of phytoncide, which is said to strengthen the immune system and natural healing ability of the human body. Nutmeg tree blossoms and the oil are said to have been used as insecticides in the past. There are also rare orchids and plants growing in the forest. A walkway through the forest has been installed for visitors to enjoy a stroll through the wonderful forest.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Cheongdo-gun)

* The festival is postponed until further notice. The Cheongdo Bullfighting Festival celebrates the long tradition of bullfighting in the Gyeongsangbuk-do Province. Drawing over half a million visitors annually since its inception in 1999, the festival is the largest bullfighting championship in the country. In addition to the bullfighting championship, the festival offers a number of exciting events including performances, hands-on experience programs, and exhibitions of the history of bullfighting, local agriculture, cows, etc.


Chungcheongnam-do(Asan-si)

Asan-si Hot Springs Special Tourist Zone includes Dogo, Asan and Onyang Hot Springs. When Onyangoncheon Station on Seoul subway line No.1 opened in December, 2008, the number of tourists who traveled here increased. It is said that Onyang Hot Springs is 1300 years old, which means that it dates back to the Three Kingdoms Period. During the period of the Joseon Dynasty, it was the rulers’ favorite spot for treatment and recuperation. Onyang Hot Springs has alkaline water and boasts high water quality and a large volume. The water temperature is 37~54℃. There are 200 accommodation facilities and amenities, including hotels, Oncheonjang hot springs and restaurants, which make Onyang Hot Springs the best place for recreation and rest. Designated as a therapeutic hot springs, Dogo Hot Springs is equipped with spa treatment facilities. The water park within the hot springs is popular with families. Near the hot springs is a station that used to be Dogooncheon Station, but today, visitors can experience rail bike riding there. Another spot to visit is Asan Botanical Garden, which shows off beautiful flowers even in the depths of winter. Asan Hot Springs has a variety of water park attractions in its theme hot springs. As the hot springs has soft water and contains plenty of minerals, such as silicic acid, sodium and calcium, it is said that drinking the water boosts metabolism and strengthens the digestive system. Gyeongsangnam-do(Namhae-gun)

Sinbulsan Mountain (1,209 meters) was designated as a county park, which includes the neighboring Ganwolsan Mountain, by the county of Ulju-gun on November 3, 1983. These mountains stretch around the village of Eonyang and form cliffs on the east with oddly-shaped rocks rising from them. The scenery is beautiful throughout all four seasons and the majestic mountain looks like it is reaching toward the sky high above the clouds. Thus it is often referred to as the Yeongnam Alps. Near the peak of Sinbulsan sits a fortress with breathtaking views of silver grass. It is called Danjiseong or Danjoseong because it is shaped like a jar. Below Wangbong Peak is Hongnyu Falls, which cascades down into Jakgwaecheon Stream. The Ganwolsaji Temple Site and the Ganwolsaji Seated Stone Buddha can be found inside Jakcheonjeong Pavilion.


Gyeonggi-do(Siheung-si)

Jeollanam-do(Haenam-gun)

The area of Haenam Uhang-ri is designated as Natural Monument No. 394 since the area remains not only a fossil district with footprints of dinosaurs, pterosaurs, and birds, but also has a rich geologic history. So, Haenam-gun created the Haenam Uhangri Dinosaur Museum in order to showcase the natural heritage and experience the dinosaur exhibition such as a 4D video room and special exhibition. The museum is the very first dinosaur museum in the southwest region of Korea and features plenty of dinosaur remains and other related exhibits.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Geoje-si)

Gyeongsangbuk-do(Andong-si)

Andong Station sits on the Jungang Rail Line. Since it opened in October 15, 1930, all passenger trains that currently travel along both Yeongdong and Jungang Lines stop at this station. Andong Station has water tower that was installed in 1940, whose 12-sided shape is very unique, thus leading to its designation as no. 49 on the list of  Registered Cultural Properties of Korea. For those transferring to intercity buses, Andong Terminal is about 6 kilometers away, and can be accessed via city buses 0, 1, 2, and 11 from in front of Andong Station.


Seoul(Gangnam-gu) , Gangnam・Samseongdong(COEX)

Chungcheongbuk-do(Jecheon-si)

Jecheon Station is located 154.9km away from Cheongnyangni Station, the first station on the Jungang Railroad. The station is built at a key junction, passing through Taebaek and Yeongdong Lines to the east, passing such cities as Yeongwoel, Sabuk, Hwangji and going all the way to Bukpyeong. To the southwest, it connects to the Chungbuk Line, which stretches 110km in length, passing through Eumseong, Chungju, Cheongju and Jochiwon. Famous tourist attractions within 4km of the station include Uirimji and Hanbyeokru.
