Nanji Island Beach
Chungcheongnam-do(Dangjin-si)

Nanji Island Beach (난지섬해수욕장) in Dangjin-gun, Chungcheongnam-do has 700m-long, 50m-wide soft white sand beaches. The water is shallow, clean and warm (20-23 °C), and a pine grove nearly 3,306m² wide surrounds the beach. Nanji Island Beach offers various convenience facilities such as campsites, showers, drinking fountains and bathrooms. The rocky coast in the northwest is a great spot for catching popular fish, such as rock cod and spotty belly greenling. By taking a boat, visitors can enjoy scenic ocean views as they pass beautiful islands, such as Yeongheungdo, Palmido, Seonjaedo, Gukhwado, Yukdo and Pungdo.

Damyang Bamboo Festival
Jeollanam-do(Damyang-gun)

Located within a forest of 2.4 kilometers of bamboo, this festival is full of activities celebrating the beauty and function of the bamboo plant. More active visitors can test their skills during some of the festival’s scheduled river sports, such as ‘Log Rafting’ and ‘Water Bicycling’. After working up an appetite, visitors can please their palate with some of Damyang’s famous cuisines and other world foods featured at the Cultural Experience Center. Maehwa is the Korean word for apricot flowers, and the flowers signal the changing of the season. The festival also features various fun activities such as the apricot flower photo contest, black pig show and goose show.

Hwaseong Haenggung Saturday Performance

Hwaseong Haenggung Saturday Performance will be scheduled for every Saturday between May and November to celebrate the construction of the Suwon Hwaseong Fortress. To one side of the white sands are campgrounds, and the surrounding area consists of shopping streets and accommodation.

Yongnuni Oreum

Located in Jongdal-ri (Gujwa-eup, Jeju City), Yongnuni Oreum (also called Yonganak, literally meaning ‘Dragon Eye Mountain’) is a parasitic volcano almost 250 meters in x_height. Various craters and lava hills mingle together, and the front side of the mountain shows picturesque landscapes, typical in Jeju oreums with an abundance of lush grass. The outskirts of the mountain are full of natural plants such as Ranunculus japonicus, Pulsatilla koreana, and Elsholtzia splendens.The name, Yongnuni Oreum, is derived from the fact that the mountain looks like the shape of a dragon lying down. The large crater in the middle of the hill looks like a place where a dragon used to lay. Some people have argued that the name comes from the crater looking like a dragon's eye when seen from the air.
