Jeju-do(Jeju-si) , Former Jeju

Located in the area of Doduhang Port, Jeju Dodu Oraemul Festival is the sole festival in the area, the theme of which is one of Jeju’s regional resources, “yongcheonsu" (spring water), also known as “dodu oraemul." The festival provides unique hands-on programs available only in Dodu-dong, as well as delicious food to enjoy and other entertaining activities for tourists and residents.

The Busan Christmas Tree Festival, Busan's annual winter event, will be held in the Gwangbok-ro area of the Jung-gu District in Busan. To add a more festive atmosphere, there will be concerts, a tree of wishes, street performances, collecting love coins, a photo and video contest, and many more.  


Gyeongsangnam-do(Miryang-si)

Situated between Miryang (Gyeongsangnam-do) and Ulju (Ulsan), Jaeyaksan Mountain (1,108m) boasts gorgeous landscapes with giant rock formations near its peak. Along a ridge 800m high sits Sajapyeong, one of the largest silver grass plains in Korea. Because of its breathtaking views during the fall, it was commonly referred to as one of the eight scenic sights on Jaeyaksan Mountain.Sajapyeong is a popular hiking destinations in the Yeongnam range (a group of peaks in southeastern Korea). The vast gentle waves of wind-blown silvergrass are reminiscent of ocean waves at sea. At the western foot of Jaeyaksan Mountain are the ancient Pyochungsa Temple, Cheungcheung Falls, Heukryong Falls (both approximately 20m high), and Geumgang Falls (25m high). Another attraction, to the north of the mountain, is Eoleumgol (Ice Valley, designated as Natural Monument No. 224) on Cheonhwangsan Mountain because of its often sub-zero temperatures even during summer months. 


Jeollanam-do(Wando-gun)

From the seashore of Yeosu to Hongdo Island, Heuksando Island, Geomundo Island and Baekdo Island out west, Dadohaehaesang National Park covers about 1,700 small and large islands and various rocks. In the park, the blue sky and the ocean blend well with white sandy beaches, adding to the picturesque atmosphere.During the Silla period, the King of the Sea, Jang Bogo established the maritime world and during the Goryeo Dynasty, the area was a trading path with the Yuan and Song Dynasties. Also, it was the battlefield where Admiral Yi Sun-shin defeated the invading Japanese navy. Likewise, historical sites remains in many places.Among those islands, Hongdo Island and Heuksando Island are famous for tourists. In particular, one of Korea’s greatest fishery grounds is located in Heuksando Island.


Chungcheongbuk-do(Jecheon-si)

Bakdaljae refers to the steep hills dividing Bongyang-eup and Baekun-myeon in Jecheon-si. It has a legendary sad love story about Bakdal doryeong and Geumbong nangja. Jecheon-si uses the characters of ‘Bakdari and Geumbongi’ to promote. Iljumun Gate is set at the entrance of the hill to offer things to see for visitors. Also, based on Bakdaljae landmark project, it became a famous site for tourists.


Gyeonggi-do(Hwaseong-si)

Baran Spa in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do uses salt springs water from 700m underground. The water is rich in minerals, and is known to have many health benefits. The Spa features several different facilities including a sauna, ultraviolet steam spa, jade spa, and bulgama (fire pot) spa.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Mungyeong-si)

“Human-powered gliders” refer to gliders under 50kg that can be operated by shifting one’s weight; this include devices such as hang gliders and paragliders. Paragliding, despite its short history, is the most popular type of human-powered glider. Mungyeong Flying Land, a top paragliding facility, is conveniently located in Mungyeong, which offers excellent conditions for this amazing sport. Mungyeong’s geography creates an excellent updraft and steady winds, and the area’s total absence of high-tension wires means plenty of wide-open space for a safe landing. Mungyeong Flying Land is surrounded by outstanding mountains (Juheulsan, Joryeongsan, and Seongjubong) giving visitors a unique and exciting flying experience.
