Gangwon-do(Yangyang-gun)

Namae Harbor is located 6km north of Jumunjin. The harbor can be used as both a sea fishing site and a freshwater fishing site, as the harbor is in the East Sea and also near Namae Beach and Maeho Bay. The harbor is in a traditional fishing village, complete with a seawall, lighthouse, and large uniquely-shaped rocks. Thanks to these elements, the sunrise view is magnificent and showy enough that many tourists and photographers come to visit.  


Gangwon-do(Gangneung-si)

Commemorating the event of PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and G-2 (Game-2; two years before PyeongChang 2018 Olympics), Hello PyeongChang Winter Festival will be held from February 4 to 6 around Gangneung Dano Park with various programs including an opening ceremony with performances by K-POP singers, cultural and arts groups, traditional performances themed on Gangwon-do traditional culture, World DJ festival, cultural art performance by EATOF (East Asia Inter-Regional Tourism Forum), and professional arts groups’ performances. Reservation for the festival is available through the official website. Individual foreign guests are also able to make a reservation for the festival. In addition to the pre-welcoming ceremony, PyeongChang Connected Test Events will be held with Jeongseon Alpine Ski Contest, PyeongChang Bogwang Snowboard Contest and Pyeongchang Freestyle Ski Contest. Other festivals in Gwangwon-do including PyeongChang Winter Music Festival, (Feb 25-28, Alpensia and Yongpyong), Daegwallyeong Snow Festival (Jan 15-Feb 10, areas of Hoenggye-ri, Daegwallyeong-myeon) and PyeongChang Godeureum Festival (Jan 15-24, Areas of No.2 bridge of Joyanggang River, Jeongseon-eup) will offer more of the winter atmosphere to visitors.


Jeollanam-do(Haenam-gun)

Ttangkkeut Village in Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do is at the southernmost and the furthest point away from Seoul. Ttangkkeut Village's official regional name is Galdu-ri, Songji-myeon, Haenam-gun. Visitors can see the sunrise and sunset from the village, and the village hosts a sunrise festival every year. When descending 500 m from a beacon mound of Galdusan Mountain's observatory, visitors will see the triangular stone statue.


Chungcheongnam-do(Asan-si)

Dogo oncheon Station opened in June 15, 1922 as Seonjang Station and was relocated to its current location in 2007.


Gyeonggi-do(Yeoju-si) , Yeoju

According to historic records, ceramics have been developed here since the early days of the Joseon Dynasty, as the nation’s best materials for making ceramics, such as clay, white clay, and Kaolin, were produced around Mount Ssari in Bungnae-myeon. Mid-standing artists here study the process of making traditional ceramics as well as more novel works that utilize unconventional methods. In addition to the ceramic art complex, there are many cultural relics such as the Silleuksa Temple Resort, the royal tomb Yeongneung, and the ruins of Godalsa Temple.


Chungcheongnam-do()

Geumgang Natural Recreation Forest is made up of mostly broad-leaved trees. From the forest, visitors can overlook Geumgang River which is in the heart of Chungcheongnam-do. In addition, there are various facilities such as a forest museum, an arboretum, a greenhouse, an animal village, a wild flower garden, a pond, and a pavilion, and more that make this one of the biggest forest culture recreational and educational sites in Korea. In particular, the building of the Forest Museum is modeled in the traditional architectural style of the Baekje Dynasty. There are six exhibition rooms, each with a different theme. About 3,000 pieces of forest-related materials are on display, and real-sized models of the ginkgo trees of Geumsan Mountain, the shrine trees of Gongju, and the pine trees of Anmyeondo Island. The big greenhouse has a glass dome and houses tropical and subtropical plants. The Wild Animal Village features Asiatic Black Bears, wild boars, mandarin ducks, and eagles.


Gyeonggi-do(Yongin-si) , Yongin

Yongin Hobak Dungbul (Pumpkin & Lamp) Village is located in Angol Village, Neungwon3-ri, Mohyeon-myeon, Cheoin-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do. This traditional themed farming village is not only home to a variety of beautiful country cottages, but also offers a host of experience programs that fall under the themes of pumpkin, lamp, and fire (charcoal kiln).Those interested in farming can harvest 40 different kinds of pumpkins and other local produce such as balloon flower roots, potatoes, yams, Chinese cabbages, radishes, and Japanese apricots. More interested in the food after it’s brought in from the field? Try your hand at making diverse pumpkin diverse (pumpkin soup, pumpkin cake, etc.). One of the most popular farm programs is the pumpkin chocolate-making, a fun experience for visitors of all ages.Nearby attractions and heritage sites include the grave of Poeun Jeong Mong Ju, the last loyal subject of the Goryeo Period, the Korean Deung-Jan Museum, Everland, and the Korean Folk Village.


Gangwon-do(Pyeongchang-gun)

The restaurant opened in 1999 with 76 seats, but after it was remodeled in 2008 and the number of seats was increased to 126, among which 40 are Western style seating to accommodate the needs of international guests and elderly people. The interior is decorated with photos taken by the restaurant owner to add to the unique atmosphere. The owner turned the traditional Korean dish of gondeurebap (steamed rice with seasoned cirsium) into something new, serving it in a dolsot (hot stone bowl). The restaurant serves more than 20 different types of side dishes to satisfy customers' various tastes.

Today, the market accounts for half of the nation’s total sales of salted seafood.The Ganggyeong Festival has grown to become a major industrial festival in Korea, and originally started off in an effort to boost local economy and enhance the fish market merchants’ incomes in 1997 when the IMF financial crisis hit the nation. Salted fish merchants made the festival in a large-scale, getting bigger and better each year.Especially since 2007, the festival has changed its official title to Ganggyeong Fermented Seafood Festival. The festival has in the spotlight and has now established itself as a healthy fermented food item in the world food market, breaking away from the notion of being simply salted, preserved food.
