Chungcheongbuk-do(Chungju-si)

The Jumbo Shrimp Festival offers not only food but also various activities for visitors to take part in such as catching clam in the mud flats or even personally catching jumbo shrimp. It also holds a diverse range of events such as traditional rites (rituals for a big catch of fish), fishing boat parades, singing contests as well as hands-on experience programs for catching and peeling jumbo shrimp. Regional products are also sold, making it possible to purchase quality jumbo shrimp at low prices. With much to offer, the festival draws over 700,000 visitors each year.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Geochang-gun)

Ulsan Whale Festival is held in the area of Jangsaengpo Whale Culture Special Zone. The area is equipped with more things that allow visitors to see this new cultural village, such as the whale museum, Jangsaengpo Whale Watching Cruise, and Jangsaengpo Whale Life Experience Museum. The new variety of sites at the festival will give visitors an extra level of fun and discovery.


Gyeonggi-do(Guri-si)

Guri City worked to improve the water quality of Jangja Lake (장자호수) in order to form the Jangja Lake Park (장자호수공원) and in the process an ecological zone was created. A 3.6 km tree-lined walkway runs through the park, and is frequented by people enjoying an outing or getting some light exercise.
