Busan(Busanjin-gu)

In recent years, the city has grown dramatically and draws a steady stream of visitors who come for the hoe (sliced raw fish), a local specialty served fresh all year round.The town and its main beach boast a variety of amenities including hoe restaurants, accommodations, and parking lots. Happo, the nearest town, also offers plenty to see and do and surrounds visitors with forests and other natural wonders. Happo is famous as the site where Admiral Yi Sun-Shin (1545-1598) achieved many victories against the Japanese navy during the Imjin Waeran War (1592-1598).


Gyeongsangnam-do(Geochang-gun)

Cheoyongam is a very small rocky island sitting in the middle of Gaeunpo Inlet in front of Saejuk Village in Hwangseong-dong, Nam-gu, Ulsan. It is a historic islet related to the famous folktale of Cheoyong. The tale is about a dragon that emerged from the east sea along with his seven sons at the end of the Silla Kingdom (57BC - 935AD). One of the dragon’s sons named Cheoyong came to the capital and married a beautiful woman. One night, he found an evil spirit trying to attack his wife so he sang and danced, whereupon the spirit presented itself and kneeled in apology. Since then, people have used the image of Cheoyong to dispel evil spirits. The dance that Cheoyong is said to have performed has been titled Cheoyongmu and has been designated as an Important Intangible Cultural Property. Cheoyongam is the sacred rock where the dragon in the tale is said to have appeared. There are many attractions nearby including Mokdo Island (Natural Monument No. 65), which offers magnificent lush greenery all year round.


Gangwon-do(Gangneung-si)

It is a place where you can enjoy fresh fish and Maeuntang (fish stew). The best menu at this restaurant is assorted sliced raw fish. This Korean dishes restaurant is located in Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do.


Chungcheongnam-do(Hongseong-gun)

Having modified its name from Hongseong Naepo Culture Festival, Hongseong Historical Person Festival is held in Hongjueupseong Fortress every September, with the aim of become an educational festival. Hongseong is the hometown of many historical persons in the areas of literature, martial arts and art such as General Choe Yeong, a great commander during the Goryeo period, Seong Sam-mun, a scholar-official of the early Joseon era, General Kim Jwa-jin, who won the Battle of Cheongsanni against Japan, Han Yong-un, who was a resistance fighter to Japanese influence with his fidelity and integrity, Han Seong-jun, a folk dancer, and Lee Ung-no, who established Korean painting’s creativity and identity. The festival offers historical person-related programs that include themed performances, histories of the persons, and their life story, giving a unique experience. Excellent local food from Hongseong can also be eaten at the festival site.


Chungcheongbuk-do(Okcheon-gun)

Geumgang Resort (금강유원지) has become popular thanks to the construction of the Geumgang Service Area(금강휴게소). With scenic mountains and a large beautiful lake, this resort attracts many visitors. By crossing a nearby dam, visitors can get to Usan-ri. Recently, many modern homestay facilities have been built in this area, and it has been transformed into a perfect destination for families and young people alike.Utilize the many facilities of the Geumgang Service Area while relaxing at Geumgang Resort. Also, Joryeong-ri Local Food Village is located across from the Geumgang Service Area, and offers a variety of local foods.


Gyeonggi-do(Yeoju-si) , Yeoju

The stone walls of Pasasan Fortress stretch along the ridge of the 250-meter-high Pasasan Mountain. The fortress is strategically situated for national defense by being located at the edge of the river bank, from which you can see both upstream and downstream. It is said that the fortress was constructed during the reign of the King Pasa, the 5th ruler of the Silla Kingdom. The walls stretch over 1,800 meters in length. At its highest point, the wall is 6.25 meters tall, and 1.4 meters tall at its lowest point.


Chungcheongnam-do(Taean-gun)

Located on a hill on the coast in Taean County, Chungcheongnam-do Province, the Tethys Pension commands an open view of the West Sea. Guests can have great fun in the water and hunt for seashells on Eoeundol Beach, which stretches directly in front of the pension, and enjoy making soap in the pension’s atelier. The surrounding tourist attractions include Mallipo Beach, Mohang Port, Chollipo Arboretum, and Kkotji Beach. The famous local dishes including Blue Crab, Gourd and Octopus Soup, Grilled Jumbo Shrimp, and Grilled Clams are highly recommended.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Yeongdeok-gun)

Located on the Yeongdeok Wind Farm, Yeongdeok New & Renewable Energy Center allows visitors to learn more about new and renewable energy and Yeongdeok’s beautiful natural environment. On the first floor of the two–story center is a café and convenience facilities; on the second floor, visitors can learn about solar, wind, and geothermal energy. Visitors can even experience the power of renewable resources in action with a footbath warmed through solar energy. In the playground outside, the fun continues with a solar-powered bench that plays music when you sit down. On the top of the building is the Sky Garden, and on the hill next to the center is the Wind Garden, where a state-of-the-art telescope gives viewers a closer look at the surrounding wind turbines and the East Sea.


Chungcheongnam-do(Hongseong-gun)

Opened in December of 1923, Gwangcheon Station was opened as an ordinary railroad station. The area of Gwangcheon Station consists of one eup (population of about 15,000) and four myeons. With its farming, agriculture and small business, this farming community is known nationwide for its togul salted shrimp and Joseon laver.
