Jangansan County Park
Jeollabuk-do(Jangsu-gun)

Situated in Jangsu-gun in Jeollabuk-do Province, Jangansan Mountain (alt. 1,237m) was officially designated a county park in 1986. Deoksan Valley Stream, which originates in the southwestern part of Jangansan Mountain and flows into Yongnimcheon Stream, is famous for the Deoksanyongso Waterfall Basins and the 20 or so large rocks that dot its banks. The sprawling fields of reeds along the East Ridge are also a major draw, undulating like waves of gold in the crisp autumn wind. Nearby attractions include the birthplace and shrine of Nongae and the Banghwadong Family Vacation Village, which offers minbaks (lodgings in private residences), an auto camping site, water recreation facilities, and a campfire area.

21th DongGang International Photo Festival 2023  The Magical Unknowns We cordially invite you to submit your creative work to the prestigious 21st DongGang International Photo Festival, taking place from July 21st to September 24th, 2023, in the picturesque Yeongwol, Korea. ▲ DongGang International Photo Festival 2022 Curiosity, the desire to explore the unknown, is an inherent human need. The unknown may encompass not only what is completely unfamiliar but also what is presently disregarded or avoided. Often, uncharted territories have had the most profound impact on human history, whether previously unknown, unimagined, or simply neglected. The unknown need not be solely enigmatic or sacred. Whatever it may be, it holds its own irreplaceable magic. Those who are receptive to the unknown have the privilege of unlocking its mysteries and experiencing its wonder. Venturing into the unknown can be an extremely liberating and world-changing experience. What stories and secrets do the countless mysteries of the world hold? How will these magnificent narratives unfold? The sheer thrill of the hidden secrets and magic within the seemingly mundane and trivial can be utterly exhilarating! Individuals and collectives are welcome to apply; individuals should submit between 8 - 12 photographs from a particular series or body of work. Selected 15 - 20 artists including ‘Artist of the year’ (individual artist or 1 team of winner) will benefit from: A-year-long exhibition that exposures at the DIPF Festival - inclusion in art magazine, any related press (long term festival representation and promotion on official website, publications, catalog that being seen by a substantial number of visual arts professionals and the media) where the works viewed by an international panel of influential experts in the field of photography * 'Artist of the year' - solo exhibition at DIPF (production - printing, framing or related presentation material will be provided) and eligible for travel and accommodation to attend the opening.   SUBMISSION GUIDELINES   1. GENERAL Objectives DongGang International Photo Festival aims to feature a quality selection of photography projects from around the world. DIPF’s open call is devoted to offering a platform and supporting photography, showcasing photography and related media from emerging and established artists. Naewonam Hermitage is located on Daeunsan Mountain in Ulsan. Daewonsa, the once head temple of this hermitage, was located at the entrance to the complex, but only the remains exist today. The valley around the hermitage is famous for its clean and clear waters. The 500-year-old nettle tree within the hermitage grounds catches the eye for resembling an elephant. An annual music concert performed by Buddhist monks from Ulsan City takes place at Naewonam Hermitage.

'Jangbogo Hanok Pension is located in Songhae-myeon, Ganghwa-gun, Incheon, which is regarded as a 'roofless museum' in Korea. Bugeun-ri, Hajeom-myeon, which is home to the UNESCO-listed Ganghwa Dolmen Sites, Ganghwa History Museum, and Gwanghwa Natural History Museum are a mere 5-minute ride from the pension, with Goryeosan Mountain (436m) -- well-known for wild azalea flowers -- and Baekryunsa Temple at the start of the mountain trail only 4km away. Among the pension buildings, the main and detached buildings are where the guests stay. There is a roofed well in the front yard, which is used as a place to relax all seasons. Both the main and detached guesthouse buildings have two rooms and a living room with a traditional Korean kitchen furnace. The guestroom in the main building also has an attic room. In addition, the pension has floor-heated room, swimming pool, and barbecue facilities on the opposite side of the main building. There is a shared bathroom outdoors in addition to the ones in the guestrooms in both the main and detached buildings.
