Banghwadong Natural Recreational Forest is located at the foot of Jangansan Mountain. The mountain trail from Deoksanyongso Pond leading to Banghwadong Valley features nature learning centers and adventure games facilities. The clean valley is lined with oddly shaped cliffs, shrubs and trees, which all combine into a splendid view. The forest is situated at a highland more than 500 meters above sea level. It is surrounded by mountains that are over a thousand meters high above sea level, so the temperature is low and the water at the valley is cool even in the summer. There are log cabins, group accommodation facilities, and training halls by the valley to accommodate group visits, conferences, gatherings and seminars. There are also video rooms, broadcast facilities, and restaurants. The group accommodation facilities offer eight rooms for up to eight persons, eight rooms for up to six persons, and there are four 12-person log cabins.

Hanok Maeul Hwangto Pension is located on the side of the Namhangang River of Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province. It is a beautiful two-story hanok, located in idyllic countryside, with a wide grass lawn perfect for families with children or group visitors. The grass lawn is furnished with traditional sights like a vine-colored pavilion, well, old-fashioned treadmill, neolttwigi jumping boards, and traditional mortar, creating a rustic atmosphere that doubles as a site of learning for children. A wooden footbridge connects the second floor of the building, with a great view of the fields nearby. There are five rooms in total, the Korean-style Family Room, Sarang, and bedrooms of Gwibin, Sinhon, and the Sudabang annex. Each room is furnished in the traditional red clay wall and Korean traditional paper interior as a continuation of the theme of hanok. The Family Room is equipped with a wide living room with a fabric sofa and wooden furniture, dining table, and a kitchen with cooking utensils, making it ideal for group visitors. Sudabang room in the annex is a great place for lovers and families, and its crowning feature is the clay fireplace in the living room. Roasted potatoes and sweet potatoes from the fireplace are delectable parts of the room’s appeal. Firewood must be bought from the pension. The pension is also equipped with red clay sauna, fired with Korean charcoal. It is offered free of charge for the guests. Outdoor barbeque and campfire sites may be reserved with extra cost.

Nabijam is a guest house located in the Modern History District which is the center of traveling in Gunsan. The guest house is just 150m away from the Japanese style house (Hirotsu House) in Sinheung-dong and 190m from Chowon Photo Studio which was used as the background of the movie ‘Christmas in August’. Tourist attractions within walking distance from the guest house include Yiseongdang Bakery where you have to stand in the line to buy bread, the old Gunsan Customs, Gunsan Modern History Museum, Gunsan Modern Architecture Center, and Gunsan Resistance Memorial Center. There are also many famous restaurants near the guest house making tour of Gunsan more pleasant. The name of the guest house, Nabijam, is a pure Korean word which can be literally translated as ‘Butterfly Sleeping’ which means the looking of a baby sleeping soundly with its arms stretched wide outwards. The owner of the house made its name so wishing that the guests could sleel well like babies. There are 4 rooms in the guest house – Areun Areun, Sogeun Sogeun, Jaejal Jaejal and Todak Todak each of which can accommodate basically 2 persons and maximum 4 person. There are small attic attached to each room except the Jaejal Jaejal Room. You will feel as if you are in a relative’s house. You can hear information about traveling in Gunsan, good restaurants and the storiss of the community from the host who is living in the Anchae (main house). Simple breakfast made of toast, jam, coffee, etc. is served. The guests of Nabijam can have 1,000 won discount on the rental of modern clothes and additional 1,000 won discount by presenting the receipt of the spending in the Modern History District (the Time Travel Village). Gangwon-do(Inje-gun)

Baekundong Valley flows 5km from the valley of Mt. Deoktaesan and Mt. Seongaksan. There are oak trees and maple trees growing in thick clusters and clean waters flowing nearby. Baekundong Valley stands between the seven brother stones and Yongdam Waterfall, and starting from this point to Gwuiddegicheong Peak is Baekundong Valley. The rocks are connected in a long line and ponds can be seen here and there. On each sides of the valley there are rock walls, which make for some unforgettable scenery. Baekundong Valley maintains its natural beauty and majesty, which attracts many mountain climbers. Especially from the middle point where Jikbaekun and Gokbaekun combine to the Gugok Valley the most magnificent scenery of Baekundong Valley can be seen. The largest waterfall of Baekundong Valley, called Baekun Waterfall, is about 30 meters high. The upper part of the waterfall has rocks lined up in a long line. The landscape of Mt. Seoraksan seen from here is the representative natural scenery of Mt.Seoraksan.
