Busan(Buk-gu)

Gupo Market is a big-scale traditional market located within the busy streets of Gupo in Busan. Gupo has been a trading hub since the 17th century during the Joseon period due to its location at the entrance of Busan that meets Nakdonggang River. A variety of vegetables and fruits are lined up past Ssamji Park at the main entrance of Gupo Market. The market alley displays a wide range of food ingredients along with fresh and dried seafood to choose from. Gupo Market is also packed with delicious street foods and restaurants, including popular local restaurants like Gupo Guksu Jip and Jangteo Gukbap Jip. The annual “Friendly Gupo Market Festival” takes place at the market place ever October, welcoming both domestic and international visitors.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Seongju-gun)

Saudang Jongtaek (Head Family House) is located in Yundong Village in Seongju Gyeong sang buk –do, which is the concentrated village of Euiseong Kim Clan. Saudang is the old house enshrining Kim Yong-Cho, the founding contributor of the Joseon Dynasty, and composed of 7 Korean style houses positioned on the hill in tiers. Entering the gate, you will be able to see various kinds of flowers and trees growing in a wide grass garden. There is a small vegetable garden on one side of the yard. Behind the vegetable garden is the platform for small and large pots containing sauces and condiments. The rooms are composed of 4 independent Korean style houses: Saudang, Joseondang, Etiquette Room, and Experience Room. The owner of the house provides free lessons on traditional culture and etiquette in the training center. Visitors can learn or experience traditional Korean etiquette, tea ceremony, the culture of classical scholars, and the traditional ceremonies in ordinary homes. Equipment for traditional plays such as Neolttwigi, Yutnori, Tuho, Jige (Korean A0frame), small gong, etc. are prepared free of charge. All visitors can taste complimentary traditional teas while listening to Gayageum music played by the wife of the eldest grandson of the head family. If you want a rest of body and mind, inquire about the meditation class prepared by the owners of the house. You can also enjoy comfortable walking and trekking in the Dullegil path, which has been constructed recently along the village trail and the lotus flower complex.


Gangwon-do(Gangneung-si)

Gyeongsangbuk-do(Pohang-si)

The construction of this huge hot spring complex started in Yeongil Bay in 1988 after it was found out that the Yeongil Bay has the highest geothermal heat in Korea while drilling for oil in 1974. The water’s main ingredients contain healthy minerals such as calcium, natrium, fluorine, magnesium, chlorine, sulfuric acid, fluorine, zinc, germanium and radium. Yeongil Bay Hot Springs maintains its water with alkali bicarbonate at a pH of 9.43. The temperature of the water is somewhat low though at 35℃. The hot springs help to recover from fatigue, to help beauty care, anti-aging, neuralgia, heart disease, and liver functions. The water here also has a very unique texture.

Gyeongsangbuk-do(Pohang-si)

Pohang Canal, completed in January 2014, cuts between Pohang's Songdo-dong and Jungdo 1-dong, connecting the waters under Dongbindaegyo Bridge with Hyeongsangang River to the south. The canal has a total length of 1.3km, adding on to the 8~10 km long seafaring road of Pohang. The canal is a restoration of an old water path, and the citizens have welcomed the eco-friendly construction as a community park. Many people enjoy walking along the canal or the romantic experience of riding on a cruise ship through the canal.


Busan(Dongnae-gu)

Gangneung Bau-gil Road is a 150-km walking trail from Baekdudaegan Mountain Range to Gyeongpo and Jeongdongjin. The 10 walking courses that make up Bau-gil Road wind around mountains and seas, offering a scenic view to anyone taking any of the courses. “Bau” means “rock” in Gangwon-do dialect. When the people of Gangwon-do refer to Gangwon-do in a friendly way, they call it “Gamjabau.” Like the name, Gangneung Bau-gil features nature and human-friendly trekking courses surrounded by nature. By traveling on foot, people can enjoy the tranquil scene and the scent of pine trees from the forest that make up almost 70% of the routes. Collect shells near the beach, enjoy the view from the deck, and take leisurely stroll on Korea's longest and lushest pine grove path. The lakeroad in Gyeongpo, as well as the Chodang Solbat-gil (pine grove road) at Heo Gyun and Heo Nanseolheon Memorial Park makes this a beloved trekking attraction.
