Arirang is a national folk song that was created by a warrior monk during the Imjin War. The song expresses the principles and faithfulness of the Korean people under Sung Confucianism. There are many varieties of the song throughout each region, with changes happening continually over time. Miryang Arirang Festival celebrates this important intangible heritage through many programs and performances. Starting on a spring night in May at Deoksugung Palace, experience Korea's modern history through various events planned until 10 PM at cultural sites throughout the Jeong-dong area. Performances will take place throughout the many festival locations, for vistors from home and abroad to enjoy a unique cultural festival while making wonderful memories of their time in Jung-gu.

The Million People Walking Festival is an event free and open to everyone. Group participation is also available, giving companies, schools, and private groups the chance to enjoy the beautiful spring together. This event will also promote the ecological and historical importance of Namsan Mountain and its seasonal changes.The walking course will include roads paved with elastic blocks, on which people can walk comfortably, and beautiful small streams, providing enjoyable scenery and a good environment for taking a walk. There will be two courses including a 7km full course along Bukcheuksunhwan-ro Road (The north side circle road) (1 hr and 30 min). Various sideline events such as celebratory performances will take place, and there will be a photo zone for family and group participants.

Busan International Magic Festival is the largest magic festival in Asia. Siheung Gaetgol Festival is a fun and educational festival themed on the process and natural environment needed for the production of salt. The festival takes place at Siheung Gaegol Eco Park. Visitors can enjoy not only educational hands-on programs but also performances, musical experiences, an art market, and even a bug experience.

Silla Sori Festival mainly focuses on the King Seongdeok Divine Bell (Emille Bell), established during the Unified Silla period, and takes place in Gyeongju, embracing its thousand-year-old heritage. The festival is managed by BBS (Buddhist Broadcasting System), and sponsored by Gyeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Bulguksa Temple and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The festival venue is a grass field around Cheomseongdae Observatory, where the varied programs such as the tolling of the model Emille Bell, weighting about 6 tons, and Silla Culture experience, reappearance of Silla Gandeunghoe (lamp ceremony) and others are prepared. The festival has been held since 2012 to acknowledge the value of the ‘King Seongdeok Divine Bell’, featuring the most beautiful bell existing in the world, made in our own way, and honoring the spirit.

The Busan International Dance Festival (BIDF) is one of the largest dance festivals in Korea. Dancers taking the stage in Haeundae hail from all over the world. This year, the festival is themed under the title 'World Dances, Busan Moves!' In the festival, visitors can be assured to experience an eclectic mix of dancing that showcases a variety of excellent dance styles: classical ballet, modern dance, and more. * Some programs canceled

International Modern Dance Festival, abbreviated to MODAFE, commemorates all artists and the public community as our society’s “little hero.” The festival aims to encourage all who work hard and live on day by day, repressed by social circumstances and any unexpected hardships that may befall in the ever-changing and evolving world by presenting artistic dance performances and support to artists’ projects. This year, MODAFE performances will be streamed live online in accordance with the COVID-19 social distancing measures. Instead of the annual MOS event usually held at Marronnier Park, the festival invites viewers to participate in an online event via social media.

The Asia Song Festival is one of the most popular music events that aims to do away with the existing cultural barriers by bringing together performers from all across the region. For 2014, the event will take place on November 2, 2014 starting at 6 p.m.
