Once a year at Jindo Island in Jeollanam-do, the sea mysteriously parts and visitors can walk through the sea from the main island to a smaller nearby island. This phenomenon is due to the difference between high and low tides, creating a 2.8-kilometer-long road measuring 40 meters in x_width.The Jindo Miracle Sea Road Festival takes place at the same time as this phenomenon. Visitors can enjoy walking along the sea road, gathering abalone and various other fun activities that make up the festival program. The spectacular sight of the waves parting is widely known and about half a million visitors flock from all over the world just to witness this amazing event.

The Great Battle of Hansan (1592) is one of the four most famous sea battles in Korean history. Visitors to this festival, which celebrates the anniversary of the great event, will learn all about the battle while enjoying the beautiful natural scenery of Tongyeong.

The Busan International Dance Festival (BIDF) is one of the largest dance festivals in Korea. Dancers taking the stage in Haeundae hail from all over the world. Silla Sori Festival mainly focuses on the King Seongdeok Divine Bell (Emille Bell), established during the Unified Silla period, and takes place in Gyeongju, embracing its thousand-year-old heritage. The festival is managed by BBS (Buddhist Broadcasting System), and sponsored by Gyeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Bulguksa Temple and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The festival venue is a grass field around Cheomseongdae Observatory, where the varied programs such as the tolling of the model Emille Bell, weighting about 6 tons, and Silla Culture experience, reappearance of Silla Gandeunghoe (lamp ceremony) and others are prepared. The festival has been held since 2012 to acknowledge the value of the ‘King Seongdeok Divine Bell’, featuring the most beautiful bell existing in the world, made in our own way, and honoring the spirit.

The annual Iksan Ten Million Chrysanthemum Festival is held every year from late October to early November at Iksan Jungang Sports Complex. The festival features an outdoor chrysanthemum exhibit, a national chrysanthemum artwork contest, cultural performances and many more. Citizens, business, and organizations also put their own chrysanthemum flowers outside to support the festival and to promote Iksan's image.

Gokseong-gun, famous for the its train village, has been holding annual event of Gokseong Rose Festival at the Rose Park located within the train village complex. Rose varieties from different parts of the world under the three themes of love, scent and dream will be on display during the festival at 1004 Rose Park.

The Muju Firefly Festival takes place in the pure environment of Muju, a natural habitat for fireflies and the marsh snails the fireflies feed on. The festival offers many attractions and activities but the highlight of the festival starts after 8:00 pm when the fireflies begin to light up the night sky.

Held along Seongbukdong-gil Road, Seongbuk Multicultural Food Festival is held to commemorate the World Day for Cultural Diversity, and to foster opportunities for interaction among foreign community members through multiethnic foods. In addition, this festival tries to contribute to understanding and respecting the cultural diversity between ethnic groups, nations, and people by sharing and exhibiting traditional costumes, literature, and many artistic talents. The road will be closed during the designated days to be used as the festival venue.

Since its inception in 1960, chrysanthemum farming in Changwon (Masan) has proliferated, accounting for 13% of nationwide chrysanthemum farming. The Masan Gagopa Chrysanthemum Festival presents numerous exhibitions, cultural programs, food tasting, and many more.

The Twinkle Concert in the Palace concert series runs at 2pm and 4pm on the last Saturday and Sunday of the month in May, June, September and October. The concert series provides an opportunity for tourists to enjoy traditional culture and music, as well as the chance for young performers to show their passion and creativity. The concert is free to all visitors to Gyeongbokgung Palace.
