Hwaseong Haenggung Saturday Performance will be scheduled for every Saturday between May and November to celebrate the construction of the Suwon Hwaseong Fortress. G-Star 2012 is a global game exhibition taking place from November 8th through 11th at BEXCO in Busan. It is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism (MCST) of Korea together with the Busan Municipal City, and aims to improve the domestic game industry and introduce new gaming trends and the latest technologies. This year, 434 companies from 31 countries (the largest scale to date) will participate in the event under the theme of ‘Game, Touching the World’ Along with the game exhibition, there will be various programs including a business consulting session, recruitment fair, networking party, seminars and talks, game zone, Korea-China Game Culture Festival and so on. Admission is 6,000 won for adults and 3,000 won for children. Tickets are available online (Interpark) and at the door.

Fifteen hundred years ago, there was a story about the Heroes of the Silk Road. Silla: Basilla was inspired by Kush-Nama, a Persian epic poem. It was then recompositioned centering around the characters in Kush-Nama, Prince Abtin and his son Fereydun, as well as the princess of Silla, Farārang. It takes place after the Sasanian Empire, the last pre-Islamic Persian empire, had ended. The story depicts the collision and harmonization of the three different cultures of Persia, Silla, and Arab. Dynamic storytelling is created through the characters and scenes. The spectacular stage sets, lighting, and video give the production incredible visual appeal. Also, specially designed props crossing the Silk Road and battle scenes of Zahhak and Fereydun allow the audience to feel as if they are part of a page in history.

The Three Musketeers (musical) runs simultaneously at Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Seoul and at Tokyo International Forum Hall in Japan. The simulataneous performance, which have never been done before, sets the standard for other shows looking into overseas expansion. The Three Musketeers continues to gain success and recognition in Korea as well as overseas with its talented cast and impressive performances. 

The Busan Christmas Tree Festival, Busan's annual winter event, will be held in the Gwangbok-ro area of the Jung-gu District in Busan. To add a more festive atmosphere, there will be concerts, a tree of wishes, street performances, collecting love coins, a photo and video contest, and many more.  

Held for the first time in 1989, the Chuncheon Puppet Festival is celebrating its 27th anniversary this year. Aside from the puppet performances, there will also be plenty of side events to entertain children and adults alike.

Located in the area of Doduhang Port, Jeju Dodu Oraemul Festival is the sole festival in the area, the theme of which is one of Jeju’s regional resources, “yongcheonsu" (spring water), also known as “dodu oraemul." The festival provides unique hands-on programs available only in Dodu-dong, as well as delicious food to enjoy and other entertaining activities for tourists and residents.
