Pyeongchang Cirsium Setidens Festival is held every year in May in Sanchae Village, Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do Province. Visitors can pick their own cirsium setidents along with other wild greens on nearby mountains and try various kinds of food made from wild greens at the festival venue. Other hands-on programs include making rice cakes and catching trout or marsh snails.

Jeongwol Daeboreum falls on January 15 each year on the lunar calendar, and always takes places on the full moon. It is the brightest moon of the year, and a day for telling fortunes and a national holiday in Korea. The Korean Folk Village plans a special Jeongwol Daeboreum event each year to celebrate. The event features traditional Daeboreum activities including burning daljip (brushwood), Jangseungje ceremony, Byeotgaritdae seugi (making a stack of rice straw), Jisinbapgi and Gilnori, sharing Boreum food and special performances like Bukcheong Saja Noreum (play about lions), juldarigi (tug-of-war) and more. K-POP CAMP offers dance and vocal courses, along with audition processing courses where the participants can create portfolio of their own and participate in the auditions. Hyangiram Sunrise Festival is an annual overnight festival that begins on New Year's Eve. It takes place at the historic Hyangiram Hermitage, which was built in year 644. As the New Year's Day dawns, visitors can witness the sun rise above the horizon from Hyangiram, which literally means "a hermitage facing the sun."

Having modified its name from Hongseong Naepo Culture Festival, Hongseong Historical Person Festival is held in Hongjueupseong Fortress every September, with the aim of become an educational festival. Hongseong is the hometown of many historical persons in the areas of literature, martial arts and art such as General Choe Yeong, a great commander during the Goryeo period, Seong Sam-mun, a scholar-official of the early Joseon era, General Kim Jwa-jin, who won the Battle of Cheongsanni against Japan, Han Yong-un, who was a resistance fighter to Japanese influence with his fidelity and integrity, Han Seong-jun, a folk dancer, and Lee Ung-no, who established Korean painting’s creativity and identity. The festival offers historical person-related programs that include themed performances, histories of the persons, and their life story, giving a unique experience. Excellent local food from Hongseong can also be eaten at the festival site.

Since its inception in 1999, Ultra Music Festival (UMF) has been bringing the greatest artists in electronic dance music to the city of Miami every March. The Seoul Independent Movie Festival is jointly held by the Korean Film Council and the Association of Korean Independent Film & Video. The festival features a national independent film competition and gives awards regardless of theme, type, and length throughout varied genres including plays, experiential documentaries, and animated films. Also, the individual invitation program plans to introduce a variety of trends regarding independent movies. Contemporary indie film makers will gather up to envision a movie reflecting the spirit of the age and to find a good alternative to the existing films. In an effort not to make this festival a one-off event, the Seoul Independent Film Festival is gearing up to revitalize the independent film industry through indie picnic tour screenings, DVD production, online screening, and others. Seoul Independent Movie Festival volunteers have helped revive a “film jury system” for audience members to become critics. The Seoul Independent Movie Festival runs on a daily basis, which has been constantly expanded to distributing channels for independent films. The business aims to offer practical and realistic support for pre-production, distribution, and marketing in order to nurture the best independent film talent.

The International Percussion Festival mainly led by professor Choi Jong-shil, the pioneer of Samulnori, is the nation’s first festival devoted to the percussion instrument and its musicians. Gaining a huge popularity at the Korean Festival Exhibition, this 4-day festival will be held to promote the excellence of Samcheonpo Korean farm music with 12 episodes, which was designated as Intangible Asset No. 11 and the Hanryo Maritime culture. Performance Guide: The festival’s hightlight is Samcheonpo Korean farm music containing 12 episodes. The Samcheonpo Korean farm music mainly consists of Street Military Music that was used by military personnel when they played Obangjinchigi. The first episode is a stage to have Obangjinpuri, which means soldiers are guarding the enemy’s territory after taking it. The second episode is a stage for the soldiers to feel safety and to gather around for a feast after capturing their enemy. In the third episode, farm musicians will spin the Sangmo (Korean hat with a ribbon) and present acrobatic performances by laying their bodies sideways. All 12 episodes will create unique and exciting performances. During the festival period, the Percussion Instrument Festival will also be held with the participation of world famous percussionists from the US, Taiwan, Japan, France and Brazil. As an additional event, the Percussion Instrument Exhibition will display 1,000 kinds of musical instruments. What’s more, there will be a World Percussion Musical Academic Convention, a National Percussion Musical Contest, and a Percussion Musical Experience. Festival Highlights: During the festival, visitors can learn all about the traditional percussion music around the world and experience the traditional Korean folk cultures at ‘Goyouje’ and ‘Gilnori,’ which pray for the successful opening of the festival. ‘Goyouje’, a ritual ceremony to pray for success before any important event, will show a glimpse of what traditional Korean religious services are all about, whereas the ‘Gilnori’ will show what real Korean folk plays are all about by showing Pungmulpae and mask dance performances. Sacheon is also a very good tourist place to visit since there are famous destinations like Samcheonpo Bridge, Namildae Elephant Rock, Bongmyeong Mountain, and Dasolsa.

 Imsil N Cheese Festival first started to promote the most famous cheese industry in Korea with more than 50 years of history. The festival grew and offers visitors a chance to become a character from a fairy-tale by entering a European-style cheese castle and to Imsil Cheese Theme Park and Imsil Cheese Village. When the festival starts in October, more than 10 million chrysanthemums fill the festival areas. Visitors will be able to taste and purchase goods made from Imsil at a discounted price.
