Taean Tulip Festival

At the 2015 World Tulip Summit held at the Suncheon Bay Garden exhibition, Taean Tulips Festival was selected to be one of the world's top five tulip festivals, including America (Michigan, Holland), Canada (Ottawa), Japan (Honshu) and India (Kashmir). The advanced planting technique used is one of the biggest determinant factors that leads to the recognition. The upcoming Taean Tulip Festival follows a theme of 'The Garden of Artists' and tulips forming images of well-known figures such as Mona Lisa and Marilyn Monroe can be seen after sunset as they are lit at night by LED lights. 春のうららかな日、雑踏とした都心から抜け出してチューリップを観賞して余裕を感じ、泰安の美しい海とおいしい料理で楽しい旅行ができることでしょう。また、日没後にはLEDでライトアップされた華麗な光の世界が待っています。家族や恋人、友達同士で楽しい思い出を作ることができます。      

Summer Splash & Fantastic Summer Night(Everland)

Everland Summer Splash, one of the main summer festivals in Everland, is held annually from June to August. The festival is packed with various programs like splash parades, fireworks and a 3D mapping show held at night, and a new themed garden, featuring more hands-on contents for visitors. 

Everland Christmas Fantasy

The Christmas Fantasy festival at Everland runs for nearly two months. One of the highlights of the festival is the 26 meter tall romantic tower tree, boasting vibrant lights, which can be seen both inside and outside the park. From the entrance, visitors will be guided into the park by the 500-meter-long Christmas Avenue. 120,000 LED lights brilliantly light up the festival of "Romantic illumination." Popular rides and attractions including T-Express, Thunder Falls and the Lost Valley await visitors of all ages. Play in the holiday spirit to your hearts content.

Moonlight Tour at Changdeokgung Palace

As part of the Creation of Living Palaces project, the Changdeokgung Palace Moonlight Tour offers a unique opportunity to witness and experience palatial beauty. The tour begins from the main gate, Donhwamun Gate (돈화문), and continues on for approximately two hours through Injeongjeon Hall (인정전), Nakseonjae (낙선재), and Huwon (후원, meaning "secret garden"). To make a reservation, visit the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation website. Reservations are accepted from 20 days before the event.Initially built as a royal villa, Changdeokgung Palace became the central governance compound during the Joseon Dynasty after the former principal palace, Gyeongbokgung Palace, was burned to the ground during the Japanese invasion in the 16th century. In addition to its political significance, the palace is known for its aesthetics and architecture, set against breathtaking natural scenery. In 1997, UNESCO designated Changdeokgung Palace as a World Cultural Heritage site.

Busan Jagalchi Festival

Jagalchi Market is the largest seafood market in Korea and one of Busan’s most well-known tourist attractions. The festival takes place every autumn and its slogan is “Oiso! Boiso! Saiso! (“Come! See! Buy!” in the Busan accent)”. The huge size and bustling, lively atmosphere makes a visit to Jagalchi Market a unique experience for many visitors. Small food stalls serve fresh inshore hagfish grilled on briquette fires along with other unusual sea creatures and sashimi-sliced fish at market prices. 

Wonju Dynamic Dancing Carnival

The festival's main program 'Dancing Carnival' is the nation's biggest and longest street parade festival, featuring a variety of folk dances and magnificent military marching parade from international teams across the globe, as well as the local citizens' passionate performances. Many other additional events including the Green Safe Playground and Fringe Festival performances are also available for all visitors to the festival to enjoy.   

Seoul Bamdokkaebi Night Market

Seoul Bamdokkaebi Night Market is an event organized by the city of Seoul. Visitors to the night market, happening on Fridays and Saturdays from March to October, can enjoy foods from around the world, shop for unique handmade accessories, and watch various cultural performances.

Hapcheon Hwangmaesan Royal Azalea Festival

The Hwangmaesan Royal Azalea Festival is held every year in May at Hwangmaesan County Park. The festival started in 1997 as an effort by local and overseas residents to preserve the azalea fields through hosting local cultural events. In 2012, the mountain was also included in CNN Travel's list of "50 Beautiful Places to Visit in Korea." Hwangmaesan is the filming site of several Korean movies such as Taegukgi: The Brotherhood of War (태극기휘날리며), Welcome to Dongmakgol (웰컴투 동막골), A Story Of Bangja (방자전), Queen Seok Duk (선덕여왕), Horse Doctor (마의), and Bridal Mask (각시탈).

Daegu Chicken and Beer Festival

The Daegu Chicken and Beer Festival (대구치맥페스티벌) celebrates what Koreans love to enjoy, chicken with beer, and will take place at Duryu Park in Dalseo-gu, Daegu. Called the Chimaek Festival in Korean, the term chimaek is derived from the terms chicken and maekju (meaning "beer"). Over 620,000 people attended over the course of the festival in 2014, and as many as one million are expected for the festival in 2015. This year's festival will include a music festival and industrial culture festival, making the entire festival a place overflowing with youthful energy.

Gunpo Royal Azalea Festival
