Haeundae Dalmaji Hot Spring Festival is a folk festival taking place in the Haeundae Beach area to celebrate Jeongwol Daeboreum, the first full moon of the lunar calendar. The day before the event, the citizens come together to make a daljip, a large pile of pine wood, which they will burn the following day to send up their wishes for a happy and healthy new year.

Seoul Theater Festival is a theatrical arts festival that has been representing Seoul for over 40 years. The festival’s history first began in 1977 under the name “Republic of Korea’s Theater Festival” with the aim of developing Korea’s original theater productions. The festival has evolved to presenting original performances as well as to interpreting and holding both premier and reruns of excellent performances since 2017.

International Modern Dance Festival, abbreviated to MODAFE, commemorates all artists and the public community as our society’s “little hero.” The festival aims to encourage all who work hard and live on day by day, repressed by social circumstances and any unexpected hardships that may befall in the ever-changing and evolving world by presenting artistic dance performances and support to artists’ projects. This year, MODAFE performances will be streamed live online in accordance with the COVID-19 social distancing measures. Instead of the annual MOS event usually held at Marronnier Park, the festival invites viewers to participate in an online event via social media.

NANTA is a top non-verbal cooking performance show about four chefs who must prepare a wedding banquet in just one hour. The plot is depicted through various genres of performances, including percussion that uses kitchen utensils to make beats based on traditional rhythms of samulnori (traditional percussion quartet). The entire show has no spoken dialogue, yet plenty of comedy and romance, too.Meanwhile, since its debut in October 1997, NANTA (also known as Cookin') has earned international acclaim, being staged on Broadway and at other famous venues worldwide.*NoteDue to the MERS outbreak, some performances will be discontinued from June 15 to July 31, 2015.

Muchangpo Mystic Sea Road Festival is held at Muchangpo Beach in Ungcheon-eup, Boryeong-si City.During the festival, the sea splits, creating a 1.5 km division from Muchangpo Beach to Seokdaedo Island (석대도). This phenomenon is called the Modern Moses Miracle and happens every year.  The festival accompanies the event which occurs on the fifteenth day of the lunar month and again at the end of the lunar month.Visitors can enjoy a wide range of attractions and hands-on programs such as celebratory performances, fishing with a torch, the Mystic Sea Road torch parade, barehanded fishing, catching manila clams, catching razor shells and many more.

Bucheon International Animation Festival is held under in areas near Korea Manhwa Museum.The festival features various genre of animation including feature-length, short-length, student, TV & commissioned, online. Along with competitive animation film festival, it aims to develop into a film festival to promote the growth of professional animation festival in Asia. Visitors can enjoy various programs, and the festival opens with a screening the most popular animation of the year.

The annual Iksan Ten Million Chrysanthemum Festival is held every year from late October to early November at Iksan Jungang Sports Complex. The festival features an outdoor chrysanthemum exhibit, a national chrysanthemum artwork contest, cultural performances and many more. Citizens, business, and organizations also put their own chrysanthemum flowers outside to support the festival and to promote Iksan's image.

The Jeju Olle Walking Festival is held in autumn when Jeju’s nature is at its best, to offer the opportunity of walking the wonderful Jeju Island with fellow participants who enjoy walking tours, along with performances and food. The festival started in 2010 on Jeju Olle Trail - Route 1 and finally reaches its last official course, Jeju Olle Trail - Route 21 in this year’s festival after walking around the whole of Jeju Island. Continuing for two consecutive days, the first day and second day walk through Route 20 and Route 21 respectively. Through this festival, people can experience various cultural art programs as well.

Hyoseok Cultural Festival is held to commemorate modern Korean writer Lee Hyo-seok and his popular novel 'When Buckwheat Flowers Bloom,' which demonstrates the connection between human life and beauty of nature through the dazzling scenery of Bongpyeong. In fact, Bongpyeong is the author's hometown, and appears frequently in his novels.The Festival offers various participatory programs such as poem exhibition, literature night, Hyo-seok essay contest, nature experiences (e.g. fingernail coloring using balsam), buckwheat food cooking, and many more. Furthermore, visitors may tour Lee Hyo-seok's birthplace and memorial hall.
