Hadong is famous for being the first tea plantation site in Korea. Unlike other tea production sites, which typically use machines for processing, Hadong continues to produce tea using time-honored traditional methods. As a result, it produces particularly high-grade teas, which are often sold at high prices.During the festival, visitors can sample a variety of Hadong’s tea for free and purchase their favorites at bargain prices. The festival offers visitors a unique and entertaining combination of events and hands-on experiences, drawing a large number of visitors every year.

The Daejeon International Wine Festival takes place every year, showcasing a variety of imported wines as well as domestically produced wines and traditional liquors. About 10,000 different wines can be seen during this festival. Asian Wine Trophy, a huge scale wine tasting event, and the Asia Wine Buyer’s Conference that offers information regarding wine, will be held altogether. Boseong is considered the birthplace of the commercial tea industry and is the largest producer of tea in the country. At the Boseong Green Tea Festival, some of the most popular festival events (most of which are held out in the green tea fields) are the hands-on experience programs such as picking tea leaves, making tea, and sampling green tea snacks. Other events such as the tea exhibition & sale, and a number of celebratory performances are also scheduled to be held during the festival period.

However, it now is also held in autumn to coincide with the glorious autumn foliage season on Mt. Naejangsan. Unlike Spanish bullfights, in which a matador faces the bull, the Korean version of bullfighting has two bulls fighting against each other. Spectators shout enthusiastically as these powerful animals fight to win by pushing and goring their opponent. In addition to the Nationwide Bulls Championship Title Match, which is the main event, there will also be a program featuring a variety of pet animals and a cattle show as well as the photo exhibits. Festival Highlights: Jeongeup ranch and farm products are renowned for their high quality. Located near the bullfighting arena, a promotional pavilion and market sell Jeongeup’s hanu beef, and visitors can purchase high quality beef at inexpensive prices. Sponsored by Yangpyeong-gun Office, the Mulmalgeun Yangpyeong Icefish Festival takes place in Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do each winter. Visitors can eat warm fish cakes and roasted chestnuts at the festival. The annual Dong Gang International Photo Festival, which began in 2002, is held in and around Dong Gang Museum of Photography in Yeongwol-gun, Gangwon-do Province. This festival showcases various themes of photo exhibitions to cater to visitors’ diversified tastes and interests. Along with the regular programs, the festival will also offer educational programs. The Dong Gang Photography Workshop will feature quality lectures by some of the most photographers and theorists from home and abroad such as an open lecture from renowned photographers. FLYING - Hwarang Wonjeongdae, a special edition of the original FLYING Silk Road, will be performed at Gyeongju World Culture Expo Park in a special performance hall as one of the events at Silk Road Gyeongju 2015. One of the leading non-verbal directors, Choi Cheolgi, who directed ‘Nanta,’ ‘Jump,’ ‘Bibap,’ and more also created this performance, starting from Gyeongju World Culture Expo in 2011 until now, performing for over 400,000 audience so far and gaining a lot of attention as a local permanent performance. The plot of FLYING - Hwarang Wonjeongdae features a Silla Hwarang, a type of warrior, trying to catch the escaping goblin, Dokkaebi, by teleporting to modern times through a time trap, arriving at Silla High School. The show is comprised of gymnastics, rhythm gymnastics, valley dance, B-boying, circus acts, as well as martial arts from Hwarang in the Silla Dynasty, creating various types of entertainment to watch and providing pleasure by the change of scenery through Silla, China, India, Persia, and Gyeongju.

Namyangju Slow Life International Festival will be held to share daily happiness and create a slow life world in the slow life planet. During the festival, a special food table culture from over the world will be featured. Immerse in a world of health, happiness, joy and pleasure at Namyangju-si as the festival will be held for 10 consecutive days.

Muan is the largest habitat of the White Lotus flower in Asia, spanning 330,000m2 in size. While most lotus flowers are pink, the lotus flowers in Muan are snow white, which is very rare. During the Muan White Lotus Festival festival, visitors can enjoy a landscape filled with white lotus flowers and lotus-themed activities. Festival Guide: The festival starts with a celebration parade. Visitors can enjoy exhibits about lotus flowers and the history of lotus medicine, as well as a photo exhibit and hands-on programs. Activities include making handcrafts with the seeds of lotus flowers, natural dyeing using lotus flowers, making lotus soup, cooking lotus-wrapped rice and more. Different kinds of lotus can be observed at the natural learning garden of water plants, which is on the way to the venue.
