Korea Science Festival aims at making science more familiar to the public and elevating the image of Daejeon as an advanced science city. It is a specialized cultural and tourist festival linking the Science Belt, the biggest tourism resources in the central region of Korea, with Yuseong Hot Springs Special Tourism District.The festival venues have different zones by themes including health, SF and Hi-tech culture, and by different groups including family zone, foreigner zone and youngster zone. Without a doubt, it will offer unrivaled enjoyment to all tourists through diverse science experiences and experiments. 

Polar Bear Swimming Contest is held in every winter that allows participants to swim in the sea, just like a polar bear. It offers an exciting experience to participants and sightseeing to tourists, along with various programs as a famous winter festival. More than 2,000 people from Korea and abroad are expected to be participating in this event as the festival was thought to be one of the best winter festivals in the nation.

Hangang Summer Festival (or Hangang Mongttang Festival) is the largest riverside culture festival held annual, enjoyed by visitors and citizens of Seoul alike. Programs are organized by the Hangang Project Headquarters of the Seoul Metropolitan Government in cooperation with various civic organizations, transforming the Hangang River into a joy-filled playground. Activities found at the event grounds and participating organizations span a wide variety of sectors, including: camping, water leisure sports, concerts, film screenings, street festivals, cycling, paper boat racing, fire art, and traditional art performances.

Enjoy a special water festival experience at the Hangang Water Fight Festival where participants get to engage in both water balloon & water gun fight based on teams. Escape from the heat at this refreshing water fight festival, along with famous DJs and hip-hop musicians who will be performing at the electronic and hip-hop festival.

* The festival is postponed until further notice. The Cheongdo Bullfighting Festival celebrates the long tradition of bullfighting in the Gyeongsangbuk-do Province. Drawing over half a million visitors annually since its inception in 1999, the festival is the largest bullfighting championship in the country. In addition to the bullfighting championship, the festival offers a number of exciting events including performances, hands-on experience programs, and exhibitions of the history of bullfighting, local agriculture, cows, etc.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization are sponsoring the 2018 PyeongChang K-pop Festival for foreigners at Seoul Gocheok Sky Dome on the evening of September 8. The line-up will include hallyu stars like SHINEE, BEAST, Wonder Girls, Boys Republic and more. Other activities of the festival include a special stage, hallyu drama experience booth, photo wall, gift event and more. Hangeul Festival is coming soon in celebration of 570th year anniversary of Hangeul (Korean alphabet), prepared by Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. This event will be held at Gwanghwamun Plaza, offering entertainment to citizens, specialists, and international visitors. Hangeul Festival is a cultural event everyone can enjoy, aiming to promote and share the cultural values of Hangeul to everyone.

Suncheon Bay is a treasury of nature, comprised of both flatlands and reed fields. Varying by seasons, visitors can expect different types of nature scenes. Migratory birds soaring through the skies in spring, mudskippers and mud flats in summer, turkey and reeds in fall, as well as, the rare hooded cranes in winter – about 200 species of migratory birds can be seen at this ecological tourism spot in Korea. In particular, the scenery unfolding in the fall season is considered to be a must-see tourist attraction for both overseas and domestic tourists as countless migratory birds and golden waves of reeds filled the bay.

The Maengbang Flower Festival is one of the landmark spring celebrations in Korea and is held every April near Samcheok-si City in Ganwon-do Province. The festival boasts a breathtaking view of canola flowers, cherry blossoms and the blue sea of the East Coast. The festival also offers a diverse set of events and programs including a local produce market, fresh strawberry picking, and exhibition on canola flowers and bees. The Samcheok Tourist Center will also be at the festival to help any tourists to the area visit the variety of tourist attractions nearby such as Haesindang Park, New Millennium Ocean Road, Wife of King Suro Park, and the filming place for “One Fine Spring Day.”

Sponsored and managed by Daegu Foundation of Culture, Daegu Colorful Festival features performances and art programs for people to participate in. It will be held on the area of Gukchaebosang-ro.
