The Hwacheon Tomato Festival is held annually for consecutive four days, an extension from the usual three-days event held previously, based on opinions of tourists and residents. This festival will be held in Sanae-myeon in Hawcheon-gun. Starting off with an opening ceremony, followed by pungmulnori (traditional percussion music & dance), singing contest, unique exciting events and various hands-on programs.

Gyeryong Military Culture Festival held in Gyeryong-si, Chungcheongnam-do where tri-service military is located, features one of the nation’s most representative festivals, attracting about 900,000 visitors each year. The festival is considered to be unique as it deals with a military culture. It offers fantastic air shows, various military gear experiences such as repel, military’s zip-line, helicopter, armored car, and other devices, as well as martial music performance, other cultural art performances and events for visitors. Simultaneously, the Army Festival is also held during the Gyeryong Military Culture Festival and thus, visitors can enjoy both festivals at the same time.

Yeongdong in southern Chungcheongbuk-do Province is the largest producer of grapes in Korea. Yeongdong Grape is known for its sweet, fresh flavor and for having a great, sunlight-rich climate and stark temperature contrasts between day and night. Every year, in celebration of its top crop, Yeongdong hosts a festival where visitors pick grapes in a vineyard or fish them out of a pool, followed by using them to make different types of food, such as wine, chocolate, dry persimmon, and more, and simply enjoy the beautiful scenery of Yeongdong Town all the while. The Seogwipo Rape Flower (Canola Blossom) International Walking Festival is held at the Jeju Sculpture Park and surrounding areas of the Seogwipo region. During the walking festival, participants can enjoy the picturesque springtime views of Jeju by walking by the deep-blue waters along the Seogwipo coastline and through seas of yellow canola flowers.The festival is open to anyone and there are no time restrictions to stay through the course.

This festival celebrates the achievements of Korea’s Dr. Wangin, who travelled to Japan over 1,600 years ago to spread knowledge culture and art. His teachings included the Thousand-Character Text (a primer of Chinese Characters) and the Analects (Discourses) of Confucius. Wangin taught writing composition to the Japanese and developed the foundations of education, which greatly influenced all areas of study, including social science, politics, economics, culture, and art. This festival is set in the beautiful landscape of Wolchulsan National Park and Dr Wangin’s achievements are celebrated with various performances and cultural events. The festival takes place in April when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom.

Hangeul Festival is coming soon in celebration of 570th year anniversary of Hangeul (Korean alphabet), prepared by Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. This event will be held at Gwanghwamun Plaza, offering entertainment to citizens, specialists, and international visitors. Hangeul Festival is a cultural event everyone can enjoy, aiming to promote and share the cultural values of Hangeul to everyone.

The Icheon Rice Culture Festival celebrates its famous rice and also the local agricultural practices.Major events of the festival include a reenactment of the parade that transported rice to Hanseong (the old name for Seoul) for presentation to the king, and the huge rice cauldron that is capable of feeding thousands of people.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea (MCST) and Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) are hosting a large-scale Hallyu concert for international visitors in a bid to promote Korea Grand Sale, which is running from August 14 to October 31, 2015.Visitors can see top K-pop stars, including Girls' Generation, CN Blue and Beast performing on a single stage, as well as sample traditional Korean hansik dishes and try on traditional Korean hanbok clothes.
