Haeundae Dalmaji Hot Spring Festival is a folk festival taking place in the Haeundae Beach area to celebrate Jeongwol Daeboreum, the first full moon of the lunar calendar. The day before the event, the citizens come together to make a daljip, a large pile of pine wood, which they will burn the following day to send up their wishes for a happy and healthy new year.

The Jarasum Fireworks Festival will be held in August on Jaraseom Island. In the day time, various activities such as themed zones for camping, beer and barbeque, and tanning are available, and at night fireworks shows and performances will entertain guests through the hot summer night.

Yeongdong in southern Chungcheongbuk-do Province is the largest producer of grapes in Korea. Bukchon Music Festival aims to showcase various contemporary music genres including world music, jazz, classic, and indie music, centered on Korean traditional music in the area of Bukchon in Seoul. Paju Book City is a leading publishing and cultural hub in Korea, established in 2011, when it began establishing a street of bookstores to transform itself from a place of publication to a place for enjoying book culture. A total of 42 bookstores opened within the book city's first year.
