The year 2013 marks the 18th anniversary of the Seoul Friendship Fair. This year’s festival will be attended by 300 performance teams from sister cities from over 14 different countries as well as teams from foreign embassies, tour agencies, and cultural centers from over 60 countries. A wide spectrum of unique culture events will be taking place, including traditional performances and sampling of cuisine from around the world. Other events include traditional costume shows and a traditional folk art exhibition.

Korean World Travel Fair, Korea’s longest and most reliable travel fair, will take place. The fair aims to actively communicate new tour ideas, tour items, and tourism information from nearly 500 participating companies from 60 different nations. Designed to promote Korean films, Daejong Film Festival is the oldest film award ceremony in Korea and the only film award program hosted by the government. The festival screens and honors many of the past year’s movies and provides a weeklong opportunity for the public to enjoy nominated selections free-of-charge. Each year’s winners are selected based on opinions of festival-goers and film experts. The first in Asia, started as the International Comedy Festival in 2013, it is now known as the Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF) and is noted for developing comedy cultural contents, introducing both Korean and famous international comedians from abroad.  Regardless of gender and ages, the comedy festival is open to anyone to enjoy and have fun laughing throughout the funny acts presented by the comedians. The audience also get to be actively involve with the artistes through the performances and programs presented at this globally diverse international comedy festival. In addition, a comedy open concert will also be hosted for free to allow all visitors to enjoy comedies of international level quality. 

Arirang is a national folk song that was created by a warrior monk during the Imjin War. The song expresses the principles and faithfulness of the Korean people under Sung Confucianism. There are many varieties of the song throughout each region, with changes happening continually over time. Miryang Arirang Festival celebrates this important intangible heritage through many programs and performances. Visitors can experience both the similarities and differences of the three major styles of Arirang (Miryang Arirang, Jeongseon Arirang, Jindo Arirang).

Asiana International Short Film Festival (AISFF) is the first and biggest international competitive short film festival. Over the years, it has received thousands of submissions from around the world, and screened hundreds of them. A highlight of the AISFF is the "In The Air" program, which determines films to play on Asiana Airlines flights. Furthermore, AISFF has established a fund to support short film production and industry leader development.

The region of Hansan-myeon is famous for producing ramie, one of the world’s oldest fabric crops. The Hansan Ramie Fabric Cultural Festival celebrates the high quality, luxury clothing that is produced from ramie fabric and which receives wide acclaim. Many people journey to this festival to see the beautiful clothes on display. One of the main events is a fashion show, and visitors will also have the opportunity to try on some of the clothes and even try out the fabric weaving process. The ramie crop is also used in making food, and at the festival visitors can try rice cakes, ice cream, tea and other refreshments all made from ramie. A must visit festival for all shopping and food aficionados.

The city of Busan served as a temporary capital during the Korean War. Seo-gu, the heart of Busan, especially had an important role, as the government and legislature offices as well as the presidential residence, were relocated to this area. Refugees from all over the country gathered to Busan during the war, sharing pain and comfort with one another, and also created Busan's unique scenery, "Sanbokdoro Road." Busan Night Tour includes exhibition and experience programs that take visitors on a tour around the remains of Korea's modern history, including the Provisional Capital Memorial Hall, Temporary Capital Memorial Street, Government Headquarters of the Temporary Capital (currently Seokdang Museum of Dong-a University), areas of Ami-dong Tombstone Cultural Village, and more.

A unique flea market full of artistic flavors is coming to one of Seoul's most renowned attractions at Seoul's fortress trail near Jangchung Gymnasium. This neighborhood boasts a fantastic city view over Korea's capital city, and holds a valuable heritage and history dating back over 600 years. Visitors to this place will learn both modern and historical aspects of the city through casual hiking along the trails, as well as browsing and experiencing the locals' many talents and inspirations.  The event will cover an area of over 1,000 square meters, starting from Jangchung Park and Shilla Hotel in the Namsan area. People interested in the arts, performances, and other related exhibitions will be able to enjoy all of the programs along with natural attractions available at the venue. Visitors will also have a chance to try wooden crafts and art programs using traditional Korea paper, called hanji.
