Namdo Food Festival

Featuring history, culture, and evergreen bamboo tree forests as a clean and ecological city, Damyang holds Namdo Food Festival in the area of Damyang Stadium in front of Juknokwon. This festival introduces a food exhibition hall that comprises of a variety of representative food in Namdo, and an event offering various healthy foods. Other events include parades, food contests, sampling, agricultural products sales market, food ingredients hall, food market and cultural art performances alike to entertain visitors.

Anseong Ice Fishing Festival

Bastille Day

FKCCI Bastille Day event is one of the chamber’s biggest annual events. Bastille Day is the name given in English-speaking countries to the French National Day, which is celebrated on the 14th of July every year. In France, it is formally called La Fête Nationale (The National Celebration) and commonly le Quatorze Juillet. This cultural event represents the anniversary of the storming of the Bastille fortress-prison, which is seen as a symbol of the end of the constitutional monarchy that preceded the First Republic during the French Revolution. Festivities in France begin with a big parade held on the morning of July 14th on the Champs-Élysées avenue in Paris, which is attended by the president of france and broadcast on television. Other programs include a VIP garden party at the Elysée and the final bouquet of fireworks all around the Eiffel Tower. In celebration of this national holiday, the French Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Embassy of France in Korea organize an annual party. The result is a festival of over 500 people celebrating Bastille Day in a joyful and vibrant atmosphere. It is a day for people of all ages to come and enjoy France and French culture in Korea. FLYING - Hwarang Wonjeongdae

FLYING - Hwarang Wonjeongdae, a special edition of the original FLYING Silk Road, will be performed at Gyeongju World Culture Expo Park in a special performance hall as one of the events at Silk Road Gyeongju 2015. One of the leading non-verbal directors, Choi Cheolgi, who directed ‘Nanta,’ ‘Jump,’ ‘Bibap,’ and more also created this performance, starting from Gyeongju World Culture Expo in 2011 until now, performing for over 400,000 audience so far and gaining a lot of attention as a local permanent performance. The plot of FLYING - Hwarang Wonjeongdae features a Silla Hwarang, a type of warrior, trying to catch the escaping goblin, Dokkaebi, by teleporting to modern times through a time trap, arriving at Silla High School. The show is comprised of gymnastics, rhythm gymnastics, valley dance, B-boying, circus acts, as well as martial arts from Hwarang in the Silla Dynasty, creating various types of entertainment to watch and providing pleasure by the change of scenery through Silla, China, India, Persia, and Gyeongju.

Gyeonggi International Travel Mart

The Gyeonggi International Travel Mart is an annual travel and tourism expo.The Gyeonggi international Travel Mart is scheduled for every November at KINTEX in Goyang-si City. Over 40 global travel agencies as well as other organizations like the Gyeonggi International Medical Association and the Gyeonggi-do Province Office have been invited to present their products and services related to this every year's theme. Gimje Moaksan Festival

Since 2008, Gimje-si has hosted the Gimje Moaksan Festival, famous for its cherry blossoms. During the festival, the mountain is packed with visitors from the province and urban areas to enjoy the cherry blossoms. The districts of Geumpyeong Reservoir and Cheongdo-ri gil Road nearby make for a great drive to see all the cherry blossoms, and a reason that brings visitors back again year after year. Moaksan Mountain, with its thousand years of Silla Dynasty, is located in Geumsan-myeon of Gimje. Geumsansa, Gwisinsa, Suwangsa, and Daewonsa Temples are enveloped by Moaksan Mountain. Standing tall in the eastern part, it allows you overlook the Honam plains at a glance. It is also noted for its scenic beauty as well as lots of cultural properties, including national treasures. It even topped the list of the four best natural scenic views in the Honam region. Geumsansa Temple was established in the Baekje period (599 AD) featuring over ten designated cultural properties, including Mireukjeon, the country’s only three-storey building. In spring, the temple is thronging with tourists coming to see the beautiful cherry blossom trees in full bloom along the Bangdeunggyedan stairs that enshrines Sari, a cremated remain of Buddha.

Boseong Green Tea Festival

Boseong is considered the birthplace of the commercial tea industry and is the largest producer of tea in the country. At the Boseong Green Tea Festival, some of the most popular festival events (most of which are held out in the green tea fields) are the hands-on experience programs such as picking tea leaves, making tea, and sampling green tea snacks. Other events such as the tea exhibition & sale, and a number of celebratory performances are also scheduled to be held during the festival period.
