DrumCat Concert, created in 2003, is an all-female percussion group that has moved into its own exclusive theater just 7 years after its first performance. 2008 was landmark year for DrumCat Concert, as the group received both the ‘2008 Edinburgh Festival Herald Angel’ award and the ‘2008 Scotland Cavalcade Best Unit’ award, the first awards even won by a Korean team at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The "Busan Fireworks Festival" takes place every October along Gwangalli Beach. Gyeongsangbuk-do(Andong-si)

The Andong region has many renowned historical and cultural sites, such as Hahoe Village. However, the major cultural attraction of the region is the Andong Mask Dance Festival.Visitors to the festival can enjoy the many performances of Korea’s traditional mask dances. These dances are an important part of Korea’s heritage, in particular the byeolsingut talnori dance, which has been designated an Important Intangible Cultural Asset of Korea. International mask dance troupes have also been invited to the festival, so visitors are exposed to folk culture from around the world.As well as performances, events in the festival program also include mask dance competitions and mask dance lessons, which are available for international visitors.


Jeju-do(Jeju-si)

Jeju's King Cherry Tree blossoms can be seen all over Seogwipo’s downtown area and the surrounding Jeju Sports Complex. The petals of Jeju’s King Cherry Tree blossoms are the largest and most luxurious among all the cherry blossoms. The King Cherry Trees fully blossom for only 2 to 3 days, during the festival period in April. Come listen to the soothing music as you take a romantic stroll down the gorgeous cherry blossom boulevard on beautiful Jeju Island.


Chungcheongnam-do(Cheongyang-gun)

Chilgapsan Mountain was called the Alps of Chungcheongnam-do. Nestled at the foot of the peak of Chilgapsan Mountain, Cheonjang-ri Alps Village is located at a high degree as its name ‘Cheonjang’ (천장; ceiling) suggests. The village includes the trail path of Chilgapsan Mountain, Cheonjang Lake, Cheonjang Lake suspension bridge, Rural and Urban Interchange Center, international standard-sized stadium, restaurant, swimming pool, educational center, horse-riding center, and holiday villas (also known as pensions). Various festivals like Ice Fountain Festival, International Calabash Festival, and Chilgapsan Mountain Bean Festival are also held in this village.Ice Fountain Festival is held in the area of the Alps Villages in Cheongyang-gun, Chungcheongnam-do from December to February with seven different themes. Every corner of the venue has ice fountains, and snow sculptures that add an even more winter ambience to the festival. Snow sledding, ice sledding and bobsleigh are available for all visitors to ride. In addition, there are some traditional activities such as rice-planting machine sledding, eating roasted chestnut picked from Chilgapsan Mountain, and many others where visitors can be experience and enjoy the taste of the rural feelings.* Some programs may be canceled depending on the weather conditions. Chungcheongnam-do(Buyeo-gun)

This festival celebrates the beautiful lotus flowers and highlights the importance of preserving wild flowers. Though the festival’s program contains many events related to lotus flowers, making paper lotus flowers and making lotus flower soap are two particularly popular programs with international visitors. Various other popular tourist destinations are located nearby the festival grounds, including several Baekje (18 BC-660 AD) cultural historic sites such as the Baekje Wangneungwon (royal mausoleum), Nakhwaam, and the Baekje Historical Museum.


Seoul(Yeongdeungpo-gu) , Yeouido・Yeongdeungpo・Mapo

Pangshow is a hands-on variety performance that invites the audience to participate in the baking of bread (read as bbang in Korean). The show originates from the popular Korean TV drama “King of Baking, Kim Tak-gu” (2010), which has been televised across twelve countries in Asia. The performers and audience join hands to bake bread together while enjoying an exciting performance of drumming, B-boy dance, acrobatics, and comic acting. After the show, warm, fresh-baked “pang” will be served to the audience members.  


Gangwon-do(Chuncheon-si)

The Chuncheon International Mime Festival presents a wide array of performances by hundreds of performing arts teams from Korea and abroad. Chuncheon is easily accessible by public transportation, and also offers easy access to other popular tourist attractions like Namiseom Island and Soyangang Dam.


Gyeonggi-do(Goyang-si) , Ilsan

First held in 1997, the Goyang International Flower Exhibition has attracted about over 5.7 million visitors thus far, including the 8th Flower Exhibition in 2014. The event is considered to be Korea’s representative international flower exhibition. This year’s festival will be taken place in Ilsan Lake Park in Goyang city from April to May with 320 related organizations, groups, and companies from 35 countries, to showcase flowers and various products made with flowers. Also, unique and rare plants exhibition, indoor garden decorated with flower art pieces, outdoor theme parks, making of flower plant experience, flower arrangement contests, as well as other cultural events and performances will be planned to add more joy to the flower festival.
