Gyeonggi-do(Namyangju-si) , Namyangju

Namyangju Slow Life International Festival will be held to share daily happiness and create a slow life world in the slow life planet. During the festival, a special food table culture from over the world will be featured. Immerse in a world of health, happiness, joy and pleasure at Namyangju-si as the festival will be held for 10 consecutive days.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Geoje-si)

The Geoje Island Flower Festival will be held at the Geoje-si Agriculture Development Complex in Geoje-myeon, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do. The festival will take on a culture and art theme with autumn flowers and insect displays, including around 100 chrysanthemum sculptures and 150 varieties of chrysanthemum. During the festival, there will be a range of programs such as cultural performances, hands-on activities, markets, contests and special events.


Gangwon-do(Inje-gun)

The festival aims to promote the city as the best place for hwangtae (pollack) and to inform people about the quality and nutritional value of pollack in order to boost  the region's economy. An array of hands-on pollack-themed programs are available for visitors to take part in.


Seoul(Jongno-gu) , Daehangno・Seongbukdong

Daehakro Street is the Korean version of off-Broadway, with about 120 theaters for musicals and plays lined up along the alleys. Every year, hundreds of stage productions have a chance to meet audiences, become adapted, or move to bigger stages. The stage production genres also vary, from terrifying horror, sweet romance, experimental work to exciting musical comedy. Daehakro Street is where both success and happiness seekers gather.


Gangwon-do(Yeongwol-gun)

The Dongang ferry was once a popular mode of transportation along the Hangang River. While it was gradually outdated with the growth of highways and mass transportation, the ferry was a useful mode of transportation and the livelihood of people living upstream of the Hangang River. The festival commemorates and reproduces the lives of these people and their local culture. With the beautiful Donggang River as a backdrop, the event offers a wide array of performances, cultural events (honoring the Joseon poet Kim Sat-gat), and outdoor activities (rafting, hang-gliding, paragliding, etc). The festival hosts many of the fun activities visitors to Yeongwol County can enjoy.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Gyeongju-si)

FLYING - Hwarang Wonjeongdae, a special edition of the original FLYING Silk Road, will be performed at Gyeongju World Culture Expo Park in a special performance hall as one of the events at Silk Road Gyeongju 2015. One of the leading non-verbal directors, Choi Cheolgi, who directed ‘Nanta,’ ‘Jump,’ ‘Bibap,’ and more also created this performance, starting from Gyeongju World Culture Expo in 2011 until now, performing for over 400,000 audience so far and gaining a lot of attention as a local permanent performance. The plot of FLYING - Hwarang Wonjeongdae features a Silla Hwarang, a type of warrior, trying to catch the escaping goblin, Dokkaebi, by teleporting to modern times through a time trap, arriving at Silla High School. The show is comprised of gymnastics, rhythm gymnastics, valley dance, B-boying, circus acts, as well as martial arts from Hwarang in the Silla Dynasty, creating various types of entertainment to watch and providing pleasure by the change of scenery through Silla, China, India, Persia, and Gyeongju.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Changwon-si)

The ‘Jinhae International Military Band & Honor Guard Festival’ has been developed into a leading platform where civilians, military personnel, and government officials can come together to celebrate the military culture. At the festival, visitors can enjoy a wide range of fantastic performances including marching band & honor guard shows, fringe performances, concerts, and street parades. Incheon(Ganghwa-gun) , Ganghwado Island

Ganghwa Dolmen Culture Festival is the most famous of Ganghwa Island’s festivals. It celebrates the island’s dolmens, which have been designated as a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Every year, many tourists visit this cultural festival to explore the beautiful rural island and learn about its history.The festival has two major programs, “Dolmen Festival” and “Dolmen Academy”. "Dolmen Festival" includes several performances, such as the reenactment of a traditional Korean funeral ceremony and a demonstration of how the dolmens were constructed. To learn about the history and culture of Ganghwa’s dolmens, visitors should check out the events in the “Dolmen Academy” program, which include a photo exhibition and a photo zone.Visitors can also try out various activities, such as making “yakssuk” (medical herb) rice cakes, learning the traditional tea and wedding ceremonies, and kite flying.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Sancheong-gun)

This festival celebrates the herbs of Jirisan Mountain, which are commonly known to have great medicinal properties, making this the perfect event for visitors eager to improve their health through natural remedies.At this festival, visitors will be exposed to a wide variety of Korea’s medicinal herbs and medical traditions. Along with many other exciting events, you will even be able to sample traditional Oriental medicinal food made from herbs. Visitors can sample herbs for free, and can take home their favorite herb or remedy at low cost. Some herbs can even be grown at home!


Chungcheongnam-do(Seocheon-gun)

For sixty days before and after December 22, the sun will rise from the southeast, and a good place to view this beautiful, natural phenomenon is on Korea’s west coast in Maryang-ri. To celebrate this, the Maryangpo Sunrise Festival is held every year. Visitors here will witness a very special miracle of nature, as they will see the sun rising and setting in the same place.
