Gamcheon Culture Village Street Festival is an annual event organized entirely by the local residents, from the planning stage to the operation. Gamcheon Culture Village was formed after the Korean war, when many refugees settled in the area, building houses one on top of the other. The area is now famous for its multi-colored roofs, maze-like streets, and the beautiful murals decorating the walls of each house. Festival programs include an alley tour, hands-on experiences to get to know the joys and sorrows of the village's history, and explanations on over 40 cultural art pieces throughout the village. Wandering through the streets and alleys, you will get to know the hidden stories of the grandfathers and grandmothers living here. Small performances will take place on the rooftops above, adding a lively feel to this unique festival.

The Painters HERO(Jeju)

Audiences will enjoy a play, an art show, and a musical in a single performance that creates about 10 art pieces live on stage through an exciting 80-minute show.Pentatonic Inc. became co-producer of the show in 2008, relaunching it in a designated theater on Jeju-do Island following the success of the Action Drawing Hero show.Locals and international audience members will be impressed as the cast members share the joy and awe-inspiring journey of creating works of art with the audience. Visitors can enjoy the unique performance at Halla Art Hall in Jeju.

Busan International Short Film Festival

The Busan International Short Film Festival started in the 1980s as the ‘Korea Short Film Festival,’ introducing a variety of domestic short films including 8mm films and independent movies produced by university students and citizens. In 2000, the festival was renamed the ‘Busan Asian Short Film Festival’ and expanded to include short movies from all across Asia, many of which included popular Asian films of the year. As time went on, the festival once again expanded its scope to include films from around the world and was renamed the ‘Busan International Short Film Festival’ in 2010. When it first started, the festival laid a foundation for the development of Korean movies. The festival continues to stir up support and interest in short films, acting as a catalyst for the Korean short films industry.

Damyang Bamboo Festival

Yangpyeong Strawberry Festival

Seosan Haemieupseong Fortress Festival

The Haemieupseong Fortress in Seosan City is the most intact fortress in Korea. Built around 600 years ago during the Joseon period, the fortress is a historically significant site where both the commander-in-chief of Chungcheong-do Province and the great Admiral Yi Sun-shin had once served. It is also a sacred ground of martyrs as nearly 1,000 Roman Catholics were executed in 1866. In modern times, the fortress served as the backdrop for the turbulent Donghak Peasants Revolution (1894) and Catholic Persecution.The Seosan Haemieupseong Festival offers a variety of exciting programs with a theme of the traditional Korean market. This includes diverse cultural performances such as tightrope walking, folk music, traditional orchestral music, and outdoor theatricals.
