Gyeongsangnam-do(Miryang-si)

Miryang Summer Performing Arts Festival is held in Miryang-si Youth Training Center, and Songnim Park area centered on Miryang Theater Village. Miryang-si won a special award from the 44th Donga Play Awards in 2008, making this city famous for performing arts. All genre of programs like comic drama, musical, puppet show, live band, dance musical, b-boy dance performance, magic stage, mime performance and other programs are available at the festival.


Gangwon-do(Hongcheon-gun)

Hongcheon Ginseng Hanu Myeongpum Festival is held annually in early October in the city of Hongcheon. The natural clean air and water help this area to have excellent quality ginseng and hanu (Korean beef), for which it is famous. Inside the festival venue is a self-serve restaurant for visitors to try Hongcheon hanu, and visitors can also purchase six-year aged ginseng at a discounted price. In addition, Hongcheon Narakkot Mugunghwa Festival is held at the same period, giving tourists the chance to partake in diverse programs. Nearby attractions include Hongcheon Gingko tree forest, opened only for a short time each year in early October and selected as the best area for healing.


Chungcheongbuk-do(Yeongdong-gun)

Yeongdong is the largest fruit-producing center in Korea, it is even known as the Holy Land of Fruit, and during the Yeongdong Dried Persimmons Festival, fruit producers and customers alike gather to celebrate one of the region’s most famous fruits.At the Yeongdong Dried Persimmons Festival visitors can experience persimmon jam making, persimmon peeling, and can even enjoy foot bathing with persimmon leaves and persimmon peels.


Chungcheongbuk-do(Yeongdong-gun)

The Korea Wine Festival takes place annually at the Yeongdong County Gymnasium and the area around the Yeongdong-based wine company, Wine Korea Inc. Chungbuk Yeongdong County is the largest grape producing region in Korea and was recently designated a 'Grape/Wine Special Industry Zone,' the only one of its kind in the country. An event for wine lovers and Yeongdong residents alike, the festival offers a variety of musical performances, foods, and programs that will introduce visitors to the world of wine and cultivate a genuine spirit of fun. The festival will be holding an exhibit of some of the world's most popular wines, along with wines made from grapes grown in Yeongdong County. Other festival highlights include a wine & jazz concert, a wine quiz competition, a wine auction, and hands-on experience programs such as making wine soap, wine chocolate, or wine Tteokbokki (rice pasta in spicy sauce). At the festival, Wine Korea Inc. releases its ‘Nouveau’ wine made from the year’s grape harvest.


Jeollanam-do(Gurye-gun)

The Jirisan Piagol Autumn Foliage Festival is held under the theme of "Variegated colors of Autumn foliage trip with Samhong" in Toji-myeon, Gurye-gun districts. Samhong literally means the "three reds," referring to the vibrant red foliage, the red-tinted waters, and the red in the eye of the beholder. The festival opens with a funeral rites ceremony in appreciation of the beautiful suroundings, followed by a concert, a trekking and a one night, two day camping tour in Jirisan Dulle-gil Road, followed by various hands-on programs. During the festival, a free shuttle bus will run, and visitors will receive free admission to Yeongoksa Temple.


Gangwon-do(Donghae-si)

The municipal office of Donghae, a city located in Gangwon-do, holds its landmark summer celebration every year. The festival offers visitors the chance to experience and enjoy the beautiful beaches of Mangsang with diverse experiential programs and performances. Chuncheon National Museum is hosting the Seollal Traditional & Cultural Event to celebrate Seollal (Lunar New Year’s Day) in Korea. The museum offers traditional cultural activities that can help visitors remember the meaning of these Korean holidays. The event will be held in the front plaza, central hall, and at the auditorium with various programs including movie screening for family, play for children, etc.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Gimhae-si)

Jinyeong area of Gimhae has a perfect climate and natural environment to cultivate sweet persimmons. The annual average temperature is 14℃ and the mountains around the area protect the town from sea breezes and typhoons. With skilled farmers having over 80 years of persimmon cultivation experience, Jinyeong is one of the most famous regions for persimmons in Korea. The Jinyeong Sweet Persimmon Festival is held every October to celebrate a year of good harvest.


Gyeonggi-do(Yongin-si)

Jeongwol Daeboreum falls on January 15 each year on the lunar calendar, and always takes places on the full moon. It is the brightest moon of the year, and a day for telling fortunes and a national holiday in Korea. The Korean Folk Village plans a special Jeongwol Daeboreum event each year to celebrate. The event features traditional Daeboreum activities including burning daljip (brushwood), Jangseungje ceremony, Byeotgaritdae seugi (making a stack of rice straw), Jisinbapgi and Gilnori, sharing Boreum food and special performances like Bukcheong Saja Noreum (play about lions), juldarigi (tug-of-war) and more.
