Yangyang Sunrise Festival is held to commemorate the end of the year and welcome the New Year, and to showcase the beautiful sunrise from the ocean. The festival takes place at Naksansa Temple and Naksan Beach.
The main event is the tolling of a bell to mark the New Year at Naksansa Temple, followed by fireworks on the beach.

Gunsan International Migratory Bird Festival will be taking place for in the Gunsan-si region. Visitors will have the pleasure of watching Baikal Teal flocks, the most representative migratory birds of Geumgang, fly through the air. Armiae World is a theme park located in Ganghwa-gun, Incheon. The festival venue will be composed of a mugwort well-being hall, an agricultural exhibition hall, a special farm products processing plant, an event plaza and the Onsaemiro Maze Park.

Ttangkkeut Sunset Sunrise Festival will take place at Ttangkkuet Village in Songji-myeon, Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do.
The festival includes a sunset and sunrise ceremony, and ttangkkeut music concert. The festival is famous for the unique view of the sunrise through a crack between the rocks of Hyeongjebawi next to Galduhang Port.
Hallasan Gosari Festival takes place each year in April at Meochewat. This year, the festival will hold various tour-themed programs, including an overnight visit and tour courses. Visitors can pick gosari (bracken) of their own, and local senior citizens will serve as tour guides and give an explanation about the plant, culture, and the area.
Gosari (braken) is a perennial plant. In Korea, gosaris are gathered, dried in the sun, and used for various everday dishes and ancestral ceremonies.
The Homigot Octopus Festival is an annual festival held at the end of April. Visitors can enjoy freshly caught octopus from the East Sea. Various programs and events will be also be held including watching sunrise on a boat, octopus auction, etc.
