The Shipbuilding & Sea Festival held in Dong-gu, Ulsan - the center of the nation’s shipbuilding industry - is one of the most popular summer celebrations in Korea. Gangnam Festival is the biggest festival held in the district, and integrates a series of major festivals. The district hosts the festival to attract foreign visitors and contribute to regional economic growth. The festival includes a Hallyu Festival (K-Pop Concert), Gangnam Grand Sale (up to 60% discounts at participating department stores, accommodations and concert halls), International Peace Marathon and Fashion Festival.


Jeju-do(Jeju-si)

The Jeju Udo Seashell Festival is held every year in mid April in conjunction with the Jeju Canola Flower Festival. Visitors can enjoy Jeju’s fresh seashells and beautiful yellow canola flowers by attending both festivals held the same weekend on Jeju-do Island.

Started in 2005, Nami Island International Children's Book Festival focuses on children's illustration books. With a variety of events and activities to enjoy, this culture festival brings families together in a fun fairy tale-like setting.


Gyeonggi-do(Gwacheon-si) , Seoul Grand Park

Let's Run Park Seoul Nighttime Cherry Blossom Festival takes place along a 1km-long pathway blooming with cherry blossoms each spring. Events and programs are available all day but are most spectacular at night when the blossoms are lit up.


Seoul(Jongno-gu)

The National Folk Museum is the leading museum depicting Korean folk culture that attracts 3 million visitors every year. Every Saturday, the museum offers free performances where Korean music, traditional dance, martial arts, and mask plays are performed for Korean and foreign spectators to illustrate Korea’s major seasonal events, special exhibitions, and traditional intangible cultures.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Gyeongju-si)

Historical Gyeongju will hold the 2019 Gyeongju Cherry Blossom Festival from April 3 - 7 around Cheomseongdae Observatory and Donbu Historic Site Area.  Visitors to Gyeongju will be able to enjoy a festival that combines cherry blossoms with art and culture.

Every New Year’s Day, Samcheok-si holds a sunrise festival on New Millennium Boulevard to celebrate the first sunrise of the New Year. The sunrise festival will start with concerts and fireworks and when the sun rises, there will be more events such as a sunrise meditation, unveiling of the Wishing Bell, bell tolling ceremony, a new year’s message of hope, and releasing balloons of many colors attached with wishes.
