Yeoncheon Jeongok-ri Paleolithic Festival

The Yeoncheon Jeongok-ri Paleolithic Festival takes place in Jeongok-ri in Yeoncheon region, where relics of the Paleolithic era still exist. This festival is the first Paleolithic cultural event in Korea, and provides a great opportunity for international visitors to discover Korea’s prehistoric cultures. Moreover, this festival will be a great event for families, since children can learn about paleolithic cultures, farming village lifestyles, and take part in traditional cultural programs.

Hwacheon Tomato Festival
Gangwon-do(Hwacheon-gun)

The Hwacheon Tomato Festival is held annually for consecutive four days, an extension from the usual three-days event held previously, based on opinions of tourists and residents. This festival will be held in Sanae-myeon in Hawcheon-gun. Starting off with an opening ceremony, followed by pungmulnori (traditional percussion music & dance), singing contest, unique exciting events and various hands-on programs.

Oktoberfest

Held annually in October, German Village's Oktoberfest features exhibitions related to the history of the South Korean nurses and miners who went to work in Germany in the 1960's and 1970's. Yeongdong Grape Festival

Yeongdong in southern Chungcheongbuk-do Province is the largest producer of grapes in Korea. Yeongdong Grape is known for its sweet, fresh flavor and for having a great, sunlight-rich climate and stark temperature contrasts between day and night. Every year, in celebration of its top crop, Yeongdong hosts a festival where visitors pick grapes in a vineyard or fish them out of a pool, followed by using them to make different types of food, such as wine, chocolate, dry persimmon, and more, and simply enjoy the beautiful scenery of Yeongdong Town all the while. Traditional Folk Games Event of Andong Folk Museum

Andong Folk Museum holds a Traditional Folk Game Event each year to greet Lunar New Year's Day for tourists and visitors returning to their hometown.
