Gyeongsangnam-do(Hadong-gun)

Hadong is famous for being the first tea plantation site in Korea. Unlike other tea production sites, which typically use machines for processing, Hadong continues to produce tea using time-honored traditional methods. As a result, it produces particularly high-grade teas, which are often sold at high prices.During the festival, visitors can sample a variety of Hadong’s tea for free and purchase their favorites at bargain prices. The festival offers visitors a unique and entertaining combination of events and hands-on experiences, drawing a large number of visitors every year.


Gyeonggi-do(Namyangju-si) , Namyangju

Namyangju Slow Life International Festival will be held to share daily happiness and create a slow life world in the slow life planet. During the festival, a special food table culture from over the world will be featured. Immerse in a world of health, happiness, joy and pleasure at Namyangju-si as the festival will be held for 10 consecutive days.


Gangwon-do(Yeongwol-gun)

The annual Dong Gang International Photo Festival, which began in 2002, is held in and around Dong Gang Museum of Photography in Yeongwol-gun, Gangwon-do Province. This festival showcases various themes of photo exhibitions to cater to visitors’ diversified tastes and interests. Along with the regular programs, the festival will also offer educational programs. The Dong Gang Photography Workshop will feature quality lectures by some of the most photographers and theorists from home and abroad such as an open lecture from renowned photographers. The workshop will provide exciting opportunities for the general public, as well as professional photographers.


Chungcheongnam-do(Dangjin-si)

The Dangjin Waemok Village Sunrise Festival takes place in Waemok Village located in Dangjin-si, Chungcheongnam-do. The place itself is regarded as one of the top three sunrise viewing spots in Korea. Around 100,000 people visit the festival every year to see the simple and poetic sunrise. Starting in the afternoon of December 31, various sunrise events will begin, including tourist singing contests, celebrity guest performances, a New Year’s countdown, and burning daljip (brushwood) to make a wish. When the new year begins, visitors can take in the sunrise and warm up with some tteokguk (sliced rice cake soup) at the end of the festival.


Gyeonggi-do(Gwangju-si)

Gwangju Royal Ceramic Festival is held annually in Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do where royal ceramic was first created during Joseon Dynasty. Since the start of the festival in 1998, the festival is comprised of various programs such as performances, exhibitions, and hands-on activities. With a performance-centered opening ceremony, it is expected to boost the ambience with varied performances, traditional music, dance and living statue.


Chungcheongnam-do(Hongseong-gun)

Namdanghang Port, located at the west end of Hongseong, is a famous west coast port known for its exceptional seafood. Surrounded by the clean waters of Cheonsuman Bay, Namdahang Port is home to a wide array of sea life including blue crab, cockle and webfoot octopus. Namdanghang Port also draws throngs of visitors from early September to mid-October every year for the country’s largest Jumbo Shrimp Festival, which has been held since 1907.A major jumbo shrimp party unfolds along the west coast of Korea from October to November, and as the shrimp are in season, this is the ideal period to enjoy the savory food. The Jumbo Shrimp Festival offers not only food but also various activities for visitors to take part in such as catching clam in the mud flats or even personally catching jumbo shrimp. It also holds a diverse range of events such as traditional rites (rituals for a big catch of fish), fishing boat parades, singing contests as well as hands-on experience programs for catching and peeling jumbo shrimp. Regional products are also sold, making it possible to purchase quality jumbo shrimp at low prices. With much to offer, the festival draws over 700,000 visitors each year.


Jeollanam-do(Muan-gun)

Muan is the largest habitat of the White Lotus flower in Asia, spanning 330,000m2 in size. While most lotus flowers are pink, the lotus flowers in Muan are snow white, which is very rare. During the Muan White Lotus Festival festival, visitors can enjoy a landscape filled with white lotus flowers and lotus-themed activities. Festival Guide: The festival starts with a celebration parade. Visitors can enjoy exhibits about lotus flowers and the history of lotus medicine, as well as a photo exhibit and hands-on programs. Activities include making handcrafts with the seeds of lotus flowers, natural dyeing using lotus flowers, making lotus soup, cooking lotus-wrapped rice and more. Different kinds of lotus can be observed at the natural learning garden of water plants, which is on the way to the venue. Festival Hightlights: The highlight of the Muan White Lotus Festival is a boat ride where you can get a nice view of the lotus flowers. Exploring the lotus road on the water is like a jungle adventure. Visitors also can try traditional dishes of Muan and special fragrant foods made from lotus, such as lotus ice cream, lotus shakes, lotus sandwiches, lotus noodles, and lotus-wrapped rice.


Gangwon-do(Inje-gun)

The festival aims to promote the city as the best place for hwangtae (pollack) and to inform people about the quality and nutritional value of pollack in order to boost  the region's economy. An array of hands-on pollack-themed programs are available for visitors to take part in.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Geoje-si)

The Geoje Island Flower Festival will be held at the Geoje-si Agriculture Development Complex in Geoje-myeon, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do. The festival will take on a culture and art theme with autumn flowers and insect displays, including around 100 chrysanthemum sculptures and 150 varieties of chrysanthemum. During the festival, there will be a range of programs such as cultural performances, hands-on activities, markets, contests and special events.
